  A reddit commenter said child porn is not a df-ing offense? is that true?

  The Shepherd The Flock secret elders manual in chapter 5 par. 14 states:

  "Though this is not an exhaustive list, gross uncleanness may be involved in the following: An entrenched practice of viewing, perhaps for years, abhorrent forms of pornography, that is sexually degrading. Such pornography may include. . .child pornography. Brazen conduct would be involved if the offender was promoting such material, such as by inviting others to view it, thus giving evidence of a brazen attitude."

  And there is the get out of jail free card. Child porn only may be gross uncleanness, and if one were not promoting it with others then it likely would not rise to the level of brazen conduct which is the fall back, catch-all excuse to DF anyone for any reason that three judgmental elders can cook up amongst themselves. Just shows the Borg's thought process for excusing child sexual assault as only a judicial sin rather than a legal crime.

  I remember when the "higher ups" said that, "There will be no vestige of Satan's world left after Armageddon."

  So I wonder exactly how they figure that the gas, electricity, sewer systems, water systems, internet, telephone, cell phones, and so on will function? Are those not part of Satan's world?

  The word ‘No’ should become something people learn how to say when dealing with JWs..Even if you have to practice in front of a mirror.

  It sounds like you could have known my father. He said that to me many times. He did however offer much kindness, in secret, to those who truly were in need regardless of whether they were a JW or not.
  

  I counted 27 times in a prayer if I kept track.

  I have a dog training clicker. A couple times I clicked it during the prayer, especially closing prayers that were nearly a word for word rehash of the entire meeting, each time either Gee-HO'-Vuh or Father was said. It was pretty funny to hear the questions from quite a few about, "What was that clicking during the prayer." I never told them, I just laughed.
  

  I don't like doing any business with JW's.

  I don't do any business with JW's anymore. If one purchases a product or service you can be assured that it will be inferior in some way. And if you provide a product or service you will never hear the end of it if there should be any problem with it, even if you redo, rebuild, or restore whatever it was. As my father said in private to me, "If you provide anything to JW's and it doesn't last forever you will forever be a son-of-a-bitch in their book!"

  Yeah, they want to make it a crime to give someone food or to honk your horn. They arrested some small old guy yesterday who'd just honked his horn. Incredibly rough and aggressive, that was totally unnecessary.

  JW’s and Charity Organizations

  i was wondering if anyone is aware of the jw’s in general being involved financially and/or as volunteers in charity organizations?

  i was a born in jw for 56 years and left in 2016. as far as i remember there was never any encouragement to help in the community in any way.

  including soup kitchens, tutoring at schools, united way, etc.

  Or how about the "free" COVID test kits that were sent out by the government, and then an elder had this to say, " It is nice to know that the brothers are always watching out for us."

  Either those brothers thought all JW's were so stupid they could not figure out how to follow a secular link for mo' free stuff, or they were once again taking credit for someone else work.

  Some time ago in my areas a JW woman's husband had a heart attack on Friday evening. Saturday morning while he was laying in an I.C.U. bed she traveled to the circus ass-embly about a three hour drive away.

  During the mid-morning begging for donations and song break an attendant came from behind the stage to inform her that her husband had died. When they asked if she would like someone to ride with her to return to her home town she said "No". She let them know that he was dead so there was nothing she could do for him by returning home, so she would stay for the rest of the ass-emly.

  Of course they let everyone know what had happened and what a "fine example of loyalty" she was when they made the noon announcements before meal break, and of course the greater majority of people in attendance stood there clapping like a bunch of trained seals.

  I never really got into his stuff because I find the videos irritating and can’t watch.

  That pretty well sums up my opinion, even though I don't have a dog in this fight. That said, there are other exJW's that have Y.T. video channels that I find just as arrogant, smug, smarmy, and irritating, and I do not watch those either.
