I kept getting penis enlargement ads for a while.
I used to get videos that were pretty good at "penis enlargement".
That was too good a set-up to pass-up.
i've been to the kingdom ministry school (for elders) recently and can report that it is mostly the usual mix of cliches and platitudes.
several letters where basically just read through one line at a time.
one point early on though almost made me laugh out loud.

just spent 8 hours in a 1 day elders school last weekend.
clarification given: "moving forward any elder, ms, or pioneer who themselves or someone under their roof enrolls in higher education, may no longer qualify for privileges in the congregation.
their qualifications will have to be reviewed by their boe.".
"Other than short personal handwritten notes, recordings of any kind are not permitted in any form. So there is no miscommunication, no digital recorders are to be used, no record to transcription applications to be used, no cell phone usage including recording transmission or live streaming. Are there any questions about this policy?"
At this point in time FedUp has gone full on piss them off mode. I would have raised my hand and asked, "Does that include the recording of this meeting that is being made in heaven by Jehovah, Jesus, and the angels?".

I'm sorry for any Witnesses who listened to their garbage and never got an education or a well-paying job and are struggling today to support themselves.
I'm not! And I refuse to buy into the WT promoted idea of "generosity" given to those who make poor choices. This is a quote from this mornings WT basically begging for money for others in the congregation. "...suppose a fellow Christian falls into need because of poor planning."
If they will not prepare for the future I say, "F--K 'EM!"

The idiots were threatened by anybody well-spoken who had a good job.
My dad always said, and I now say, "The stupid are intimidated by anyone who is intelligent." He also said, "It's hard to be smart in a world full of stupid people."
the first study article is about getting bible studies and children baptized.
there is much more emphasis placed on parents to get their own children baptized rather than focusing on bible students.
they try to impress on others the need for urgency.
so that I could spend time with my daughter and my granddaughter.
And of course the grand-daughter must be shunned too. I wonder what the poor little girl did to warrant her shunning?
so i suffered through another one of these idiotic "encouraging" talks by tony vives.. he prattled on about loyalty, and pretty well concentrated on three areas.
loyalty to ones marriage mate, which is no problem.
if one is married they really do owe loyalty to their husband or wife.. second, he hammered on "loyalty" by having nothing to do with a df'd family member, even a child!

He prattled on about LOYALTY, and pretty well concentrated on three areas. Loyalty to ones marriage mate, which is no problem. If one is married they really do owe loyalty to their husband or wife.
Second, he hammered on "loyalty" by having nothing to do with a DF'd family member, even a child! Truly cringe worth listening how he remarked that only by completely shunning a DF'd person could we be "loyal" to Gawd.
Third, he yapped about how loyalty meant that men should be "reaching out", and pretty well implied that if a man did not reach out or was not serving as an appointed man in the congregation it was showing they were not loyal to Gawd. He flapped his gums about how there are too many "grey-haired" menstrual serpents, and not nearly enough elders.
Just thought I wold share that as "A joy shared is doubled, and a trouble shred is halved." Thanks for halving the trouble folks!
so this is just a general question.
call it curiosity.. what sort of phobias do we have?
heights?
Must be something wrong with ol' FedUp...no phobias that I can think of.
ok, so what are the most deceptive comments that you have heard from your experience in congregations?.
my top three are;.
1) service overseer during the ’ how did we do?’ annual talk, twisted the figures to such an extent that it looked like the congregations ministry was in tip-top shape.
"You can know we have the truth by the unselfish love we show one another."
Biggest lie yet!
just wondering.
when i was a witness, we had presiding overseer, and would say p-o for short.
do they spell it out when they say cobe or do they say it with as a word?
I prefer to pronounce COBE as S.O.B!
if my memory serves me right in the 80's there was an effort to call on those who were disfellowshipped.
elders would seek them out (or we're supposed to) to see if there was anything they could do to help them come back.
it seemed like a good idea at the time to me.
No, this program has been shelved.
