Why the meetings are boring and uninspiring

each individual may have their own views as to why they feel the meetings are boring and uninspiring.

in my case i find the midweek meeting so, because of the constant emphasis on pitching watchtower literature.

its just monotonous and one big yawn.. i watch other christian faiths where they open up a chapter of the bible and discuss it's contents.

I am getting a lot of push-back, from the elders in particular, for referring to those seven guys in New York as the governing body instead of "The Slave". They say it is disrespectful and elevates men making it sound like we follow men. WTF!! What was it those same seven had printed in a WT? "Who really is the 'faithful and discreet slave'?, IT'S US!!! Now shut up, sit down, and do what we order you to do! Especially GIVE US MONEY!"

Yet if you try to post facts or personal experiences which cast WT in the slightest shadow, those that police JWTalk refuse to allow that post to be shown.

Not to mention that if one of the more subtle comments make it through the vetting process and then it receives complaints, and if that happens more than once or twice you will be promptly "disfellowshipped" from the forum and banned.

i guess it's never going away: daytime carryovers of jw-related stuff seeping into my dreams.. the majority of these dreams take place at conventions but with really weird trappings.

last night i dreamed i arrived at the site with no books, no lunch, nothing but my car keys.

I described one of them to another JDub who I still get along with. They asked me if I was watching internet porn, because the demunz come through the internet porn and then influence your dreams.

speaker had two pioneers on the stage to relate their outstanding experiences for 2017. we have 23 pioneers and over 160 publishers in the hall.

our territory is densely populated with single family houses, apartments and condominiums.

As it ended, the entire congregation clapped in approval and self importance.

Anyway, the reason they say that is all about money! If they don't get what they negotiated for, Watchtower won't get their kick back!

Specific instructions this year to make online reservations through the designated reservation site set up for WT. As I still need to assist elderly still in relatives I will be keeping an eagle eye on the rewards points for the room. Those are MY rewards, NOT the WT and if they try to take them that is theft!

The two billion hours reported as field service is beyond a waste of time and effort.

Yep, an average of 241.9 hours per person spent to get 284,212 dunked. That is a paltry 7,198.8 total hours per person baptized. I had a WTF moment when I heard the 7.8% increase number tossed out, when the number printed is 1.4%, an likely much less if the ones dying, getting fed up and walking away, or getting booted out are taken into account. A comment was made about the 10,071,524 studies reported as being a sure sign that there were oh so many wanting to know Da Troof. No mention of whether that was individuals or annual total of cumulative weekly studies.

The saying "Figures lie, and liars figure" seems to hold true.

Child abuse

i was talking to a jdub yesterday about child abuse in the organisation and this was his response:.

"it has been known for kids to make stuff up.

we have to trust the society on these things, also the legal process is there.

Kids make stuff up?

Not when it comes to sexual molestation, especially very young children. I know of a fellow whose JDub wife left him for another JDub, took their two year old daughter, and less than one year later the poor little girl was waking up screaming from nightmares. When her dad asked why on one of his visitation weekends she described in perfect detail the type of sexual rape that the mom's Jdub boyfriend was forcing on the little girl.

When the dad confronted the eldurrs in the mom's town they used that same goddamned excuse. The girl makes up stories! Nothing ever done about it! Well except for the dad getting threatened with DF'ing if he pursued it. He did, and he was!
