I equate masturbation with blowing my nose. It has to be done. It isn't a public affair nor anybody's business but my own.

except an elder asked me on thursday night if i can start giving a ride to a disfellowshipped woman because she lives near me and nobody else from the hall lives in my village.
it seems the elder and his family who have been giving this woman a ride for the past six months can no longer stomach the time it takes them to go out of their way.. i thought all normal publishers weren't to have any contact with disfellowshipped people?

It is all about the $$$$ and the time with them. They would be falling over themselves to give her a ride IF they could get a boatload of praise from others for it.
I went through this with an eldurr in my locality who always tried to guilt me into giving rides to his bible indoctrination victims, dis-fellowshipped people, and the loons who no one else could tolerate. Then I finally got FedUp and told him "NO"! Now I am a persona non grata in his book, and I am just fine with that.

The purpose of our music is to worship Jehovah in song and the musical accompaniment is solely to help in that purpose.
Music should be done tastefully and not detracting from the style the brothers have chosen (avoiding the gospel style or the traditional catholic choir sound)

Don't get me wrong, over the years there definitely were a few "gems" of human beings that were COs. They REALLY did care, and were decent people, but unfortunately, they were not the norm.
I have known a number of them. Without exception the ones I knew were used, abused, chewed up, spit out, thrown to the curb, and many are now just barely active Witlesses.

That is why I refer anyone who claims to be "stumbled" to this Bible verse. Then I ask them why they do not love God's law?

it struck me that the society has created a culture of lazy jw parenting.. rather than parents being there to guide and direct and help their children through all stages of life, the gb / society has become the "go-too" for everything.. if the child has an issue, there is a wt article for that.. does the child need help with something else?

I know so many that fell into this trap. As full grown adults, they struggle to make ends meet, are heavily in debt, have no savings, no health care insurance, no retirement, and no meaningful employment that provides some satisfaction.
Oh but wait...they do not care. After all as I have been repeatedly informed the Bible tells them that they will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will become abhorrent to them. Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them. So it is there own fault that they are in that situation. I have ZERO sympathy for them. Besides we all know where to find "sympathy" in the dictionary...right between "shit" and "syphilis".
