No such thing as "heaven" and no such thing as "hell". We did not exist before we were born and will not exist after we die. So, where do I think loved ones are? In the box on the mantle.

Overlapping Transactions
by Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho inthis afternoon, i had a vision.
one of the past, present and future.. .
over the past two decades, i recall one distinct, universal phrase being uttered by older jehovah's witnesses on many different occasions:.

Three generations of JDubs who thought they would not die are dead and the current believers will also die.
Shouldn't that be ONE lonnNngg overlapping generation? LOL

Couldn't watch more than a half a dozen minutes of the first link.
Haven't those self-proclaimed providers of "truth" ever heard of file compression, or Win Zip or similar programs? And you just have to appreciate the WT solution...lower quality files! Of course it didn't take that goomer long to trot out the "use of dedicated fund" B.S., did it?

The story of my congregation in the last five years.

Tell us what’s going on in your congregation.
Over about fifteen years time congregation size has "grown" from 95-100 average members to a whopping 30-33 members. I just cannot believe the wonderful growth!

Why Are Schools Targets Of So Much Gun Violence?
by Brokeback Watchtower inwhy are so many youth flipping out and gunning down fellow students?
is there something seriously wrong with society?
does the public education/indoctrination system need some serious tweaking?

In the United States the biggest reason for firearm violence in schools is, IMO, The Gun-Free School Zones Act (GFSZA)...an act of the U.S. Congress prohibiting any unauthorized individual from knowingly possessing a loaded or unsecured firearm at a place that the individual knows, or has reasonable cause to believe, is a school zone as defined by 18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(25).
If YOU were hell-bent on committing a firearm crime wouldn't YOU want to go where there was the LEAST chance of someone taking YOU out?

What’s your favorite "News" website?
by Wonderment innews in general are supposed to be unbiased.
but given how commercial and political interests get their tentacles around them, finding a fully unbiased news website is not so easy.. here in america some would rather trust bbc or reuters than they do cnn or fox news.
any favorites?.

What's Your Favorite "News" Website?
For me that is about like asking if I would prefer a white hot poker shoved up my ass, or to be stabbed in the eye with a sharp stick. None of them, left or right are worth anymore than different sides of a counterfeit bill.
It turns out the gun was turned back on them and shot them in the face...
I wonder how many snowflake lefties will be "triggered" by that phrase and have to find a "safe space"?

Struggling to Live a Lie
by Addison0998 init’s been very difficult, much more than i first anticipated to live a lie, (be pimo and a regular active member) i still live with my parents but i plan on moving out at the end of the year, so i really need to keep it together.
but i think people are starting to get suspicious that something is up.
i’ve stopped commenting, going on service all the time, talking at the door, and occasionally voicing something, such as a question that no one has a good answer for, that makes people think, but ahah, thinking is dangerous and wrong so that is suspicious of course.

I respectfully disagree with the suggestions to ask "awkward" questions.
Agreed. It is difficult, but silence can be your friend in these kinds of situations. Many years ago my father gave me some very good advice, "Don't write it if you can say it. Don't say it if you can mumble it. Don't mumble it if you can keep quiet." If one ponders what he meant we will see how smart those words really were. No one, absolutely no one, can hang you with words that you never wrote or said. Even Sad Sack JDub eldurrs.

Sometimes it's the little things....
by dubstepped ini'm listening to a podcast where a former elder describes how another elder conducted the watchtower study about hyperbole.
the elder called it hyper-bowl.
soon the whole congregation called it hyper-bowl.

But, really, how is anybody benefited by several people repeating the same stupid mistake as the first person?
Reminds me of the stupid dented cake pan illustration.
