  what are you thoughts on this?.

  i find this alarming because jones was very outspoken and had great guests on discussing topics most other media outlets wouldn't go near.. the fact that many have restricted him access to their medium what does this say on our freedoms of speech?.

  That the oh so tolerant left only tolerates freedom of speech IF you say what they want you to say. Kind of like JW's, IMO.

  Situation: A brother reads a news article on the Internet that contains false accusations and half- truths about Jehovah’s Witnesses. He begins to harbor doubts and lose his spiritual balance.

  As commented in the past...It is strange that when it is news reports of a church of Christendom it is God bringing it to light, but when it is the EXACT same thing about the Dubs, it is "half-truths", misleading, or lies! Damned sorry hypocrites!!

  what is your opinion regarding sex before marriage, has your view been influenced since you left?

  in western society, you’ll probably find yourself ridiculed to be an 18 year old virgin so i am curious to hear opinions from here.

  From the article: "Only baptized Witnesses who commit a serious sin and do not repent can be shunned, according to the website. Repentant individuals are welcomed back into the fold."

  Any JDub who says that is outright lying! We know that being shunned in the JDub community is a matter of whose ass you kiss or do not kiss. And "repentant" individuals are NEVER truly welcomed back into the fold! A person's past will ALWAYS be brought up as a black mark to be used as a club whenever someone feels they need to beat you a little bit more!

  Do they not realise that it makes the women look odd and out of place?

  Of course they do, but they do not care. That is the whole point of most of what the governing body trots out concerning women as being words from the mouth of God. To make as many other people as they can look as stupid as they themselves are.

  How else would two people know if they're sexually compatible?

  One wouldn't buy a vehicle without taking it out for a drive, nor would one buy a pair of shoes without trying them on. So why would one marry someone without knowing they would be sexually compatible? You wouldn't. Of course the Dubs only think of the actual physical mechanics of sex, and the mechanics are pretty much common universally.

  Personally, now that I do not have THAT goofy conduct ban hanging over my head I have found that "recreational" sex is some of the BEST sex. I am an official member of the 4-F club.

  the jdubs talk about their loved ones or friends leaving jehovah.

  how can one leave some one who they never saw, some one who is invisible or some one who never talked to them.. what they mean is they no longer obey the borg so the borg is the same as jehovah.. long live the 8 self licking ice cream popes!!

  For decades I said pretty much the same thing. Every time someone would yap about so-and-so left Jehovah, or left Da Troof, when they really meant they quit associating with the (B)org. I would ask them how they KNEW that person had in their heart left Jehovah, and then I would ask them how they gained the ability to read hearts. When they would indignantly inform me that they didn't read hearts then I would tell them that by stating the person had LEFT JEHOVAH they were usurping God's position and judging that person!

  Of course now I know that it is all B.S. so I don't waste my time or breath on them. I do not suffer fools gladly!

  Congregation Reassignments in Ohio?

  from what i understand, a letter was read this past week in regards to congregation reassignments and that the elders want to meet with people at their homes to tell them where they have been reassigned.

  obviously, this would be due to the merging and dissolution of congregations.

  can anyone confirm this?.

  One of four congregations in my immediate area is being dissolved effective Sept 01, 2018.

  No surprise there as twenty years ago the combined totals of those four congregations was about 360 persons. Now it is about 170 with less than thirty in the one that is now gone.

  The congregation that is absorbing the one to be dissolved is under rare ideal driving conditions a forty minute round trip away, by mountain roads that are tourist clogged in the summer and snow and ice clogged in the winter. I guess they will just have to "obey whatever directions they get, even if they do not seem practical..."

  first, let's look at what counsel is published by the watchtower and required as proper behavior in the congregation.. *** g88 9/8 p. 20 should i tell on my friend?

  ***understandably, you may not feel you have the spiritual qualifications to readjust an erring friend.

  but would it not make sense to see to it that the matter is reported to someone who is qualified to help?
