  wt on education..

  i have just watched the glass smashing on the wt video on education.. please consider these experiences from the opposite side of that "coin".. i have heard young ones say out-loud on the mike in the kh that "jehovah is my special friend.."these ones who were at the top of the wt 'tree' pioneering, putting in the hours etc but, it followed that soon saying that pivotal statement they dropped their pioneering, faded, picked up the girl/boyfriend and suffered being dfd.. so where did their wt "education" leave them?

  it left them as young adults naive to the world, unskilled, with no qualification to offer any employer and having to replace their former family/associates/friends with new ones.. ( dont get me going on shunning) in some cases with little success as we have read here where they moon about for months or longer unable to emotionally heal after the leaving or df'ing and also others with such a turn around they would never have believed it possible... there was a wt that related how a brother (!

  ) followed an interest in history and left the truth.

  Watchtower disputes $200K tax bill from Newburgh

  town of newburgh — the watchtower bible and tract society of new york is challenging nearly $200,000 in fire and other special district taxes assessed for three town of newburgh properties, including two hotels the organization bought to house volunteers helping build its world headquarters in warwick.. in a petition filed in orange county court last month, the umbrella organization for jehovah’s witnesses claimed that the town “either unintentionally as a mistake or intentionally and without lawful authority” miscoded the former hilton on crossroads court and the former hampton inn on route 300 for 2016, 2017 and this year.. with a combined market value of nearly $23 million, the hotel properties were not assessed town, county and school taxes for those years.

  but the town assessed $196,000 charges for the orange lake fire district and lighting and water districts during those years.. newburgh also assessed $1,600 in special district taxes over three years for a vacant commercial property watchtower owns at route 17k and route 300.. “petitioner would not be required to pay the resulting unjust charges if its exemption from taxes had been justly, correctly, and lawfully granted and administered,” watchtower’s attorneys wrote in the organization’s petition in county court.. watchtower bought the two hotel properties in 2014 as it built its 1.6 million-square-foot headquarters on kings drive in warwick.

  IMO -- EVERY governmental municipality, county, State, etc should start taxing ALL religious buildings/real estate holding.

  This /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ times 100 with ZERO tax breaks!

  The county might waive the taxes, then burn those buildings down and see how Watchtower would fare without fire dept.

  And still WT uses physicians, attorneys, communication specialists, electricians, plumbers and the like to help them operate their corporation.

  And until they totally quit doing that I will believe they are willfully hypocritical.

  And things like this video and the idiots that lap it up are the reason a flat out refuse to give one thin dime to anyone who whines about how they need some financial "assistance", especially when the waddle into the KH with their brand new shiny tablets.   I would hope, although I know it will never happen, that every doctor-lawyer-engineer, anyone with an education above the minimum required by law whose skills are demanded free of charge by WT sees this and refuses to give their services or the money received from secular employment for those "useless" services to WT. An effective boycott of WT.
