Worldwide Campaign Nov 2020

thanks petra and atlantis for sending the latest letter regarding the watchtowers plan for a worldwide campaign in november this year.

i am wondering what they are planning to achieve from this campaign, particularly their focus on sending the watchtower 2020 no.

2, titled "what is god's kingdom" to politicians, governments (and tribal leaders) around the world.. it would appear that this is their answer to governments who have put them in the spot light for their bad policies, particularly their handling of child abuse.

They are being nothing other than the dopey kid on the school playground that goes up and kicks the school bully in the shin, and then whines about getting tossed to the ground in retaliation. And then does it again, and again, and again; and NEVER learns to quit kicking the bully if you do not want to get your nose flattened.

World Wide Work Resolution Doubled Overnight

during covid-19 crisis our hall decides to double the amount sent to hq from our local account.

the resolution is unanimously supported, no questions asked.

The resolution was not unanimous in my area.

I sent an email to the secretary specifically stating NOT IN FAVOR. Good Lord, you would have thought that it was the end of the world judging by the s--t that hit the fan. I was only too willing to state the reasons why I was not in favor of increasing the financial load on now unemployed R&F thanks to COVID-19. No new building, no remodels, no CO's traveling. Oh, but the CO's still have expenses said the elder. I replied with a WT quote that the FIRST responsibility for financial help was family, then gubmint programs, then finally the congregation IF the other resources had been tried and exhausted. Greedy bas---ds!

the final talk of the saturday afternoon online convention is given by lett, sporting a creepy looking combover, which for some reason, looks creepier than normal.

he talks about how those resurrected will need to come into line with a new moral code otherwise they will be destroyed.

he uses an example of gay people having to turn away from their inclinations even though they may feel that they are perfectly acceptable.. this demonstrates that the gb feel that being gay is a taught behaviour rather than an imperfect unnatural desire, otherwise they would be growing out of that desire as they develop towards perfection, as they teach.

i keep hearing all of the things about "essential" people in this convid-19 virus thing.. well, i woke up this morning, did my morning poop, and just felt like i am essential.

i walked around my house while my wife was still sleeping, did the alexa thing to hear the daily text.

it made me feel good.

thankfully my best friend who got this terrible malady is doing well after being in the hospital for more than two months!

i see some people who are still petrified over this virus.

they are still virtual prisoners in their own homes.

I think it’s terrible that the governments are encouraging hospitals and doctors to write on the death certificate that it was Covid that killed them when in reality it was something else.

Agreed. There is a big difference between dying WITH the virus anti-bodies, and dying FROM the virus. Strange though how even doctors that try to say that are being censured, fired, threatened with license revocation, and discredited.

I am not afraid at all. I am pretty sure I will never contract it, because I wear two masks at a time, just in case one might let something through. I wear goggles over my wrap around safety glasses and a totally enclosed plastic head and face shield connected to scuba tanks. As an extra precaution I wear a full hazmat suit at all times, even in the shower. I heard air conditioning is a hazard for the COVID-19, so I shut it off and it gets pretty d--ned hot with no AC, and the windows closed to keep the virus out of my house, so the amount of sweat pouring of me will not doubt wash it all out of my system.

Seriously though, no; I am not afraid. I practice good hygiene, do not unnecessarily expose myself to situations or people that may increase the risk of exposure. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States, stress increase the risk of heart disease, fear and worry are a large cause of stress, so I am not going to worry!

JW's and the National Anthem/Flag

one thing we were always taught in the past is how we should sit down and pray (kneel) to jehoober whenever we were at an event where they played the national anthem.

we had to actively disrespect the flag and anthem and be no part of the world, because we were our own country with jesus as king.. given kneeling/sitting for the national anthem is now the favorite pastime of the far-left and if you do so, you get associated with democrats, how do jehovah's witnesses now 'become no part of this world' when they have to disrespect the flag?.

They could do what a now elder, who lives in Texas did and taught his kids to do; flip the bird at the flag while loudly saying, "Here is my flag salute!"

He managed to start a near brawl doing that a few years ago at a town parade when the color guard went by.

In the video: "The last commandment that Jesus gave was 'GO therefore and make disciples. . .'"

Yet the governing loons say, "STAY at home. Write letters (that get tossed in the trash)." The spokes-idiot (I like that term) says the decision to quit meetings and public ministry was following the SECOND greatest command, to love their neighbors.

Perhaps they should follow the FIRST and greatest command to love their God, and trust him to keep them from getting the virus, and GO make disciples like Jesus commanded? They are hypocrites. In the U.S. they were a month behind everyone else on locking down, and still saying they have God's direction? HA!

And no, I am not promoting un-healthy action; just pointing out what I see as blatant cherry-picking scripture hypocrisy on WT's part.

Care packages from "The Branch"

i'm sorry, i didn't see that someone had already posted about this!!.

i just love the special relief packages that are being provided by "the branch" it's such a "loving provision".

funny how they leave out that it's not costing them a dime, but is being given to them, to pass out!.
