  i found this interesting topic on the current views among jws regarding the overlapping generation.. the posts are hilarious.

  how do most jehovah's witnesses explain the overlapping generation?.

  i've asked a couple of jws to explain the overlapping generation and they directed me to the website jw------org.. either they don't know, or they do know but don't want to discuss it because they know it's bogus and embarrassing.. either way, surely they must know that this just extended the last days another 80 years from the time fred franz died.

  he seems to be a person who dove into the whole woke crap thing.

  on the jws i agree with him most of the time but that goes without saying.

  Seems like he just made HIS business everyone else's business. Some things are better left unsaid. As mickbobcat said, "But IMO the less people know about situations in your life the less they have to throw back at you. I don't think this was wise."

  Out of respect for his privacy I chose not to watch anymore of his video after the first minute or two.

  how do most jehovah's witnesses explain the overlapping generation?.

  How do most Jehovah's Witnesses explain the Overlapping Generation?

  Let me see if I can meet the challenge to Splane an "Overlapping Generation" in true WT manner even though I am not PIMI any longer.

  If someone is born before the death of an older person and they know that older person then they are contemporaries and therefore part of THAT older persons generation. So because my great-grandfather was born before HIS father died and he knew his father they are the same generation. My grandfather was born before HIS father died, and even though he did not know HIS grand-father he was part of HIS father's generation, so he was also part of his grandfather's generation. Now here is where it gets a little tricky! My father was born before HIS father died and knew him well. That means my father was part of HIS great-grandfather's generation. I was born before my father died and that makes ME a part of the same generation my father is. Now remember my father was part of the generation of HIS great-grandfather. So that makes ME a part of the generation of my great-great-grandfather.

  this is not about stats, but "actual experiences" happening world wide in the organization.

  there is about 156 comments of what some jws are seeing in their congregation.

  feel free to read and come to your own conclusion on whether the watchtower organization is turning pimo but no one says anything in order to keep family relations.

  I bet the org will allow brothers to just wear a collared shirt and sisters an appropriate top.

  Just a few days ago I happened to stop by the home of a M.S. as I had some work related items to drop off. He asked if I would wait until 9:45 A.M. as he was scheduled to conduct the Zoom meeting for F.S. When he opened the door, there he stood, in a dress shirt and tie, and dirty sweat pants, and no shoes or socks.

  Quite a few years ago back when "local needs" parts could be left up to the person assigned, my father (an elder in the kindest sense of the word) had the part and titled it "Community or Camaraderie". He first gave commendation to the congregation about their showing a strong sense of community, then went on to try and encourage the congregation to develop a true sense of camaraderie. Of course it fell on deaf ears, and as I have mentioned in the past my father said, "Jehovah's Witnesses have 'love' on their lips, but NONE in their hearts!"

  He did in that part use these definitions to assist in making the point more plain.

  Community: a group of people who have the same interests, religion.

  Camaraderie: mutual trust and friendship among people who spend a lot of time together.

  
  

  JW's may show a sense of community but it is extremely rare that any of them show any genuine camaraderie. That is why articles like this are nothing except page filler uncastrated male bovine excrement!

  Disfellowshipping as a result of a judicial committee, a shocking kangaroo court process that results in organised shunning, with even verbal greetings prohibited;

• In my case when I was DF'd the then P.O. inserted a "special" part during the then "service meeting". During those several minutes he pontificated how when a person is DF'd it is the same as when an Israelite would be stoned to death. If they were stoned to death no one could see them any longer, so a modern day DF'd person should also be considered invisible. Do not even look at that person. Sorry illegitimate son of a female dog!
