He said he has to finish what he started. That doesn't bode well for the United States. Perhaps this country could be renamed. I hear Amerizuela is open.

Biden running in 2024 đ€Ł
by LoveUniHateExams ini've filed this under news and world events, although i could've posted it under entertainment, lol.
apparently, joe biden will be seeking re-election for another term in the white house.. this, despite a recent poll showing that 70% of people don't want him to run again.. biden just has to be the worst president i've seen.
his gaffes, over-relience on a prompter, and, more than any other president, his refusal to answer journalists' questions, all go to make him top of the list in terms of bad presidents.. it will certainly provide entertainment, if nothing else..

Why did you leave the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by Vanderhoven7 ini've never been a witness so i never left.
graeme hammond writes:.
for some years iâd had a growing irritation and disillusionment with the religion: i was getting tired of the pompousness, the arrogance and the control, i felt increasingly choked by their restrictions and i was drained by their demands on my time.

The lack of any real love.
This was an obvious reason, especially after my parents who sacrificed for and and slaved for WT were kicked to the curb in their old age. Ridiculed and ignored, and then blamed for not doing and giving enough or more.

Joined an online meeting incognito
by joey jojo ingot a link for a zoom meeting and thought id share my experience about the mid-week meeting.. guessing about 100 - 120 in cong.. 50 on zoom, only 8 with cameras on - all elderly.
watching from a detached point of view it's so obvious at how it is nothing but a glorified sales meeting, all designed to promote the org.
inspirational videos about how everyone can/ should do more to help with projects, in particular how to look after the kingdom hall, complete with bar charts showing levels of achievement to aspire to.. interestingly, tonights book study is about alcohol..

it seems to be a grade 3 level of study
WOW! It would seem you have some real content then, compared to what I saw when I quit going. I would have said perhaps 1st grade at best, more like kindergarten.

FedupThe more you stir up dirt, the worse it smells?âșïž
I did see that translation this afternoon. My father said though, and Google translate confirmed it this morning, that the literal translation is, "The more you stir in shit, the worse it smells."
Has a little different impact, IMO.

Don't bother.
My father had a saying when he was alive that may apply, "Ju mer du rör om i skitten destro vÀrre luktar det." That is Swedish.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses view faithfulness to Jehovah as being equivalent to faithfulness to the Governing Body?
by Vanderhoven7 ini thought this was an interesting response to the question.
"being faithful and loyal to god implies or includes.
being faithful to your spouse (hebrews 13:4),.
-
FedUpJW
Of course, this does not mean that we put God, our spouse, our employer, our authorities or the Governing Body on the same level.
Just like a concert where the last act is the main attraction this sentence says it all. The governing body is JW's main attraction. Nothing else raises to the level of importance in a JW's life than the governing body the human representation on earth of God.

Predict JW life in future
by ExBethelitenowPIMA ina sister said the other day at the ministry group ââwhat is all this talk that the end is still some way offâ she said she has been waiting for decades and she was told there is no way it would take this long.
some others said in an annoyed kind of way yes they would have made different decisions decades ago if they knew the end still would not have come by 2023.. how will the majority react in a few more decades time when the end still hasnât come?.
why all that talk of sense of urgency decades ago?.

If any Witnesses ignored this and stayed in sleep mode daydreaming and didnât plan accordingly, itâs hard to feel sympathy.
I appreciate your comments. I would though change the word "hard" to "impossible". In my case I choose to feel ZERO sympathy for any JW that is by their own choices struggling financially and I cannot honestly say it is hard to do. Does that make me a "bad" person?
