what’s your view?.

i lived in japan for a few years . When a person was sick , masking was just the norm. I just thought it was the polite thing to do. Providing a barrier so i wasn’t breathing germs directly in people’s faces. Just like covering your mouth when you cough.

Man i didn’t realize i was being controlled by the government and losing my freedom . Wow good thing all these virus experts and civil liberties lawyers posting here have informed me. One day they are asking you to wipe your ass after taking a shit, next you are in a soviet style gulag pealing potato’s .

if you can sit though a three day assembly , you can wear a mask for 20 minutes getting groceries.

i don’t know the science behind masking but i do know i haven’t had a cold or flu since covid. I can’t see not breathing germly air on each other as being a bad thing.

Plus i can talk to myself in public and feel like a cobra soldier.

I have no problem with it but i generally think humans suck anyway.

Is it just me or do evangelical anti mask right wingers remind you of uber jehovah witnesses. I think the watchtower has already written the book on pointless government confrontation and the everyone is out to get me complex.

I just wear a mask now because it pisses the inbreds off now. Americans generally act like spoiled teenagers who never got spanked as kids.

someone i know from england is a nurse.

she told me there was an outbreak at the hospital and she got the virus after being vaccinated.

she said she was told it probably would have been much worse for her had she not gotten vaccinated.

Did this nurse get her second dose?

Had 21 days passed after getting her second dose?

Do she have a mild, moderate or severe case?

There are a whole bunch of other factors that have to end into this situation.

The interesting part for me is how well these vaccines keep people from dying. I don’t think a mild case would be such a bad thing if it primes your body against future inflection.

Are Jehovah Witness willing to end studies?

i recently came across the above watchtower article which spoke about conducting bible studies which lead to baptism.

it progressed to say that if the bible study instructor does not see growth within the student or the desire to work towards baptism, then the studies should end.

Just show any actual knowledge of the bible and they will usually run for the hills.

Usually just explain to them that the tetragrammaton is just as much applied to jesus as god in the new testament and show them in the old testament the references new testament writers are quoting . A show them that jesus is the god revealing himself to humanity in both the new and old testament yet both seem to be jehovah, Lord etc

I also read the book of romans and acts chapter by chapter first in an NIV and then in the NWT and realized they basically created a new religion.

Especially Romans, there is basically no understanding of the basic Christian message.

I was watching some videos by a bible scholar named Michael Heiser about Jesus in the Old Testament.

I didn’t know throughout the Old Testament the phrase “ the word of the lord appeared “. Kind of a physical manifestation of god.

“ in the beginning was the word “.

“ my one has ever seen god only the son”.

tetragramation being quoted applies to Christ .

It appears Jesus was jehovah of the Old Testament and or jehovah was more than one thing or Jesus become the equal of calling on the name of god.

Who knows. All I know for sure Is WTS theology requires ignoring what is happening in the Old Testament and editing the New Testament.

It just occurred to me how ridiculously uneducated it all was.
