Consider the three choices God forced upon David for taking a census. For counting people, Jehovah forced a decision on David that involved the lives of thousands upon thousands of innocent people.

The choices all dealt with the “Way” Jehovah would kill thousands of unsuspecting loyal worshipers.

“These are the choices the Lord has given you. You may choose three years of famine

Imagine what that meant. Famine was going to be a three year project for Jehovah or YHWH. God would cause the crops to fail somehow. Either send a swarm of insects to damage the crops, or cause a disease to damage them.

Then slowly the storehouses would start draining. People would start panicking. After about a year or so, many would start feeling the effects of what Jehovah was doing to them.

Panic would finally rear its head on the face of the parents as they started seeing the hunger pains on the faces of their innocent children. Eventually when food started becoming really scarce, the children would start getting sick. Slowly but surely the lack of food would invite all kinds of sickness and maladies. The infants being the weakest would be the first to die a painful death as a result of famine. Next would be the elderly, and many would start seeing their parents and grandparents go through a horrifying painful death because of the lack of basic food supplies.

Finally, the foundation of the family structure in the nation of Israel was in danger of being exterminated as Husbands started losing wives and wives started losing husbands, leaving thousands of widowed people feeling the pains of the famine all by themselves as they slowly starve to death. How horrific!

The second choice was three months of destruction by the sword. God would send some army to invade the country and start slaughtering children, ripping pregnant women in their homes, killing all the fathers, raping all the young female children, and leaving thousands of children orphans. How wicked is this choice!

The third choice was three days of some type of severe plague. It was going to be worse than any chemical or viral outbreak in human history. Worse than the Black death.

Imagine these three choices forced on you. Imagine you having to choose which killing method would be imposed on thousands upon thousands of unsuspecting children, mothers, fathers, infants. All these people trying their best to do the right thing in raising a God-fearing family, and yet had no idea that the God they worshiped was about to murder them horrifically.

You probably would have calculated the same way David did. Three days is better than three years of famine or three months of the sword. So David picks three days of a plague.

David felt that it was better to fall into the hands of a merciful God. Did David not get it? This was not the character of a “Merciful God”

In three days God slaughters 70,000 people. Around 972 people were dying every hour for the next 72 hours. Imagine if that happened in the area you live. That means that there wasn’t even enough time to figure out what the hell is going on. There wasn’t enough time to bury the dead or even mourn them. 972 people were dying every hour for 72 hours until the total came to 70,000 dead in just three days.

And remember, these were Jehovah’s loyal, faithful worshipers.

King David tried to reason with Jehovah by explaining the situation in such simple terms that a five-year-old child would understand.

Bible quote;

And David said to Jehovah, “I am the one who called for the census! I am the one who has sinned and done wrong! But these people are as innocent as sheep—what have they done?

It did not matter to Jehovah aka YHWH. He forced David to choose the method of killing all these unsuspecting people whose only crime was being part of the Theocratic Nation of Israel.

This is wicked. This is worse than Demonic. This is the an example of a true Psychopath.

Forget 607, forget overlapping generation.

The real question is; why would anyone want to worship this kind of God?

let me share mine.. my husband and have been pimo for 2 years.

You could just disassociate by life, rather than by letter.

Live your lives as you see fit, block every elder's phone number that tries to call you, tell them to get the hell off your property and shut the door on them when they try to come by your house, and refuse delivery of any certified letter they try to send you.

That's what we did.

We're still not officially disassociated or disfellowshipped (as far as we know). But word has gotten out we're apostate, so no JW talks to us anyways. The elders never got to the certified letter level, but we did block all their numbers and the one time some elders came by, they were elders that had never known us and I told them, "You must have the wrong house. No one lives here by that name." They knew I was bullsh!tting from the look on their faces, but they couldn't prove it.

If it comes down to it, they'll disassociate you or disfellowship you in absentia. But that doesn't even matter anymore, becuase it's just a bunch of Karens thinking they're doing something against you, when in reality it's nothing more consequential than a jerkhole former employer trying to fire you after you stopped showing up and moved on to another job and just stopped showing up.

Write the letter, if you feel it will be cathartic. But turning it in isn't really going to do anything for you other than acknowledge that you're still following their procedures.

It's been 5 years since we woke up, and it's all behind us. I consider myself an ex-exjw now...I like coming on here to give support to others, but that's the extent of my continued involvement with the cult. Now, it's just an interesting conversation starter at parties when religion comes up. Much less awkward to talk about your former cult with religious people than to talk about how you're an atheist. And usually, if your atheism comes up, they many times understand because of the cult background.

Why do Americans have to pay so much for College???

i know there is a huge college/university lobby here in the us that lives off of students paying, in some cases, enormous amounts of money just to attend.. putting politics aside, if that is possible, (and i am not a bernie sanders guy by any means), but how can we pay for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, elementary school, junior high, high school, and then throw a huge debt to someone who wants to continue learning?

can't the us (public and state universities) afford four more years for young people to get on a career path without having to, in some cases, take out a mortgage/loan more than the cost of some homes?

then, (and nothing against immigrants, i am married to one), but then the us has to "import" students from other countries to fill the needs that we should be supplying here.

I’m a marketing director that took a handful of college classes but never graduated because I went to bethel.

My job requires a degree, as did all of the jobs I had in the last 10 years.

I don’t have one.

I make a very comfortable living.

The “degree is important for success” meme is complete bullshit. Your work matters more than your education when it comes to success. Showing up, being on time, producing and generally being a reliable employee goes miles farther towards success than a degree.

References from former employers are worth far more than degrees in my experience.

Victor: Knowing you before you left the org made that last bit about your marriage life even more sad for me than I usually feel reading other's stories. Knowing that my own father was probably one of the ones telling your wife to divorce you, just heartbreaking and disappointing.

I'm glad you're still around and sorry you had to go through all that.

I was never able to get that picture of you and I laughing on the couch in my old trailer. My folks don't talk to me anymore, so it's virtually impossible to get.

Still some good memories though and I'm glad to see you're still living life.

The reason it’s so much is because the government started to guarantee student loans.

That means no matter how much colleges charge, they still get paid. If a student defaults on debt, their wages are garnished.

It stifles competition and is creating a back-end single payer system without checks and limits on tuition.

This forum was a huge help to me in leaving the organization.

My concern is with the legal liability that posting these links can pose to this forum. I'd hate for it to go away. It's a great resource and historical archive of the exjw movement of the turn of the century.

I suggest, if you want to share copyrighted productions like this, just ask people to send you a private message. Far less legal exposure to the forum that way.

I'm sure Mike and Kim didn't upload these videos to their YouTube channel for the same reason: risk of copyright strikes and loss of their channel.
