Try this on a JW
by Saltheart Foamfollower inthis is not intended to expose wrong teachings etc, just to promote thinking and asking questions.. 1) ask if imperfection and death automatically follow sin.
jw will answer yes.. 2) ask if satan is imperfect then.. 3) sit back and watch them try to work out what the right answer should be.. sf.

Sign of apostasy
by Ireneus inelders arranged a sort of informal visit by a more capable elder accompanied by another brother who is more qualified than me from academic background.
their purpose was to reason with me as a last resort to avoid a jc.. during the two-hour discussion, i could make my point clear to them: “i don’t think any one particular religion has the whole truth.
it may be existing as bits and piece in all religions and schools of thought.

Hi all,
Thank you for all the nice suggestions you all made. I will go by them. But I am sure they won’t come back because I could sense the degree of discouragement they themselves felt talking to me. I was using their own tactic—sticking to just one subject. They wanted me to be diverted on to the subject of the channel God is using today. But I was adamantly sticking to only one subject—Parable of Sheep and Goat. All religions were desperately trying to find a reason why we should love our neighbor. But this simple parable (which requires no interpretation) tells humans do not need a reason to love fellow humans. Humans love other humans because we are humans—that’s all. Every human being knows what being human is all about because it is our very nature. When someone gives us untruth, hurt, and ugly behavior it makes us disturbed because our very nature is truth, benevolence and beauty which are our core features. To unfold according to our very nature why do we need the help of an organization? One can choose to unfold or to not unfold, and God doesn't interfere with his choice.

Hi The Fall Guy,
You sound very practical and brief. Thank you for that. That is what I have determined to do in my heart. This was a case of unannounced visit. I won't entertain any more meeting--formal or informal.

Elders arranged a sort of informal visit by a more capable Elder accompanied by another brother who is more qualified than me from academic background. Their purpose was to reason with me as a last resort to avoid a JC.
During the two-hour discussion, I could make my point clear to them: “I don’t think any one particular religion has the whole truth. It may be existing as bits and piece in all religions and schools of thought. For example, look at the Bible. Its very first phrase “In the beginning” itself is wrong because there is always something preceding to something which means there cannot be a beginning for anything. Yet the Bible has got some obvious truths too such as Mathew 25:31-46 which clearly says everyone is judged on the basis of his/her humanitarian act, not on the basis of their religious acts.”
‘This is a sign of apostasy,’ they responded.

Babylon The Great and JWs
by Ireneus injws teach babylon the great is the whole empire of false religion.
interestingly, bible’s definition of it would include jws also because it is the entity “that rules over the kings of the earth.” (rev 17:18) since revelation is given in symbols (rev 1:1) “kings” cannot be literal, but can mean minds of people because mind acts like king over everyone’s bodily kingdom.. no one exerts power over the minds of jws like their gb does.
just like members of other religions blindly follow what their leaders teach, jws too do—even when changes that are introduced under the guise of “new light” are virtually numerous.

(https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UrjfNBy6jlZ8lSibVe7VSRgihTxkwqbrLUzIHLGFH-E/edit) No one thinks ‘If God does not change’ (Malachi 3:6) how can He go on changing His teachings with no end? Numerous changes also highlight the degree of confusion it has got (just like the very name ‘babel’ which means confusion (Gen. 11:4–9)

My fading suffered a miscarriage
by Ireneus ini thought of successfully fading out, but suffered a miscarriage last week.
i gradually decreased the number of meetings i attended.
in the latter half of the year it became once a month, then once in two months, once in three months ….. last week, two elders who visited me, after their bla..bla..asked: “where will you go leaving the motherly organization—the only truth now available on earth?”.

WhatshallIcallmyself
That's an interesting observation on their careful wording with "person." Thus listeners are effectively misled about the true condition within the org.

ttdtt,
I have no family members in JW. I was contacted by JW when I came for my higher studies. Next year my studies would be completed, and would be moving to another location.

From the time they introduced overlapping generation, I was a lurker in all apostate websites, now well-grounded to take on even four elders next time.

Thank you, moreconfusedthanever, for directing my attention to ARC .
Interesting piece of information where T’Obrien is quoted as saying “‘We don’t believe it’s an impossible choice. A person can stop associating with Jehovah’s Witnesses, have nothing to do with Jehovah’s Witnesses, without taking the step of disassociation.’”

I replied: “That’s your dogma. But the obvious truth is that all religions differ only in some details, not in essence because all religions teach the paramount truth that God exists, and everyone receives according to what he sows.” If anyone believes God exists and does what pleases Him—loving His other children, then there is no reason why that one should be counted as a false worshiper.
Is this your final word?
Yes
Then we will let you know later the date for a formal sitting.
No, you two can be the witnesses to my utterances, put this in writing and close your proceedings, I told them.
I thought of fading taking two year time--but suffered a miscarriage.
