Hi All,

When folks come here and ignore the facts....they are comfy in the org. They don't see anything wrong because now they are in good standing...right now...? is most likely in good standing...he or she fits in they are accepted their future is taken certain...Don't want to wish any harm on this ? person, but just wait if and when the friends turn on him unjustly or make a snide remark....Many of us when we were in the org, thought we were so suchy much...we too had our tails on our soldiers, because we have the truth....you know that pride we all had thinking how sad it was for those who didn't....no look...as they say pride cometh before the fall...

We hope ? will never have to experience what many experienced on this site through the org. But when he does...most likely he or she will change their name from question to something else so none of us will recognize them, because they will have to eat their words by calling folks on here whiners....as I say don't wish it on them...As we know many of us were as smug and judgmental as they are ....but it's just a matter of time..

There are a lot like ? on Allexperts...especially the experts that are JW's, they are something, even if you dare to ask an innocent question they let you have it...& they are witnesses, mind you...Once I told them while I was studying...that they know darn well they weren't supposed to be on the site....then I told them I know why, you counting hours....then they got nastier...because I was just a study at the time, then I said, if this is the way witnesses act when you ask a question, who would want to be one anyway....after that not a creature was stirring not even a mouse...lol lol..

it's been asked if you knew this or that why did you stay...it's been discussed how no matter what you hit the friends with, failed dated, new lights, pedophiles, etc, yet they stay and you can't reason with them....so what i've come up with is that most stay because they feel it's god's org.

and they were chosen in place of the jews.

No problem, sometimes things do get lost in translation. I can sometime be too wordy just to say something simple.. You are so right Jesus could make an appearance and say he never came down in 1918 or 1919 to inspect no religion let alone only JW's...they wouldn't leave....

I'm a believer but not of the God man says he is ....Man has no idea what God is all about...He wants us to take care of one another...if I was a witness when you were a witness what God would have wanted me to do was to be there for you while the friends were not too nice to you.

As you said some JW's think it's God's org., because of the devine name, but they took this name...exactly...it wasn't like God gave them an engagement ring and said take my name...that's what I mean they wear being in God's org., like a badge of honor like a woman who just got a big diamond....and tell the world...she is going to have a huuuuuuuuusband & from now on she will be carrying his name...

I don't allow them to tell me who or who not to talk to....I have been told that when I became a witness I would have to get rid of my worldly friends...I said why and of course they gave me the JW's dribble...I said, well, I don't mean to be rude, but they didn't keep me from becoming a witness so why would you think if I'm still their friend they would take me out..now I'm not saying it couldn't happen but I'm just saying...but what would take me out of the witnesses are witnesses themselves....their mouths were left open...I like to do those type of things...

I hope we talk again....I wish you the best in this life...and don't let anyone steal your joy.

i have been in technology for all my adult life, so i am one of those who don't like to communicate and socialize using technology.

however, i decided to join because i started to feel left out.. i have kept my profile private for the time being.

I'm sitting here this AM drinking my coffee....What a nice topic to read early in the AM...So happy you made a difference in your life and then paid it forward....Could you imagine if we all helped one...if we all reached back and helped someone then we all move forward....

@Audesapere: Great quote...will remember it...also reminds me of MLK, he says if I can help just one somebody then my living has not been in vain....I think we all should have an attitude towards our fellow man.....if you can bring a smile to someone face that day, you done good....

Scratchne1010, I know you feel good about influencing someone....no you won't get that in the hall, why? Because most of the friends don't have it to give .....most witnesses come from some type of home...divided, one parent was zealous for the truth...you can't ask folks to give what they don't have...witnesses only encourage you if it's towards the org. Most can't show love....because most never came from a loving home...oh yeah, they were good witnesses but not good humans...

I tend to feel sorry for witnesses...I'm one, but not drinking the kool-aide...Everyday, I come to this site hoping something will be exposed of the org. so I can live....(perhaps I'm a punk)....but I'm starting to say certain things and folks are kind of listening....so if I faded.....oh they would miss me...I'm pretty popular, not because I'm pioneer or anything special, just a genuine loving person....

So Scratchme 1010...I'm so happy for you and the person you influenced...Go on and live your life...Be successful but don't let it go to your head...be balanced...be kind to others... you never know who else you may influence....

Hi Magnum,

I was commenting while you were posting.... I strongly feel that many are just there because they THINK AND WERE TOLD that it was God's org. I feel that's the staying point most have...not saying all...thanks for replying...

We know the org is flawed and the Top guys know we know....but they will still keep cranking out that literature...I'm just glad you agree....but even if no one agrees that some do stay because of the honor of being in God's org...they think...God don't need no org...

Hi All,

I'm not saying this is God's org...I don't think God is partial that way....well maybe the Jews. What I was asking ex-JW's and current JW's if the org. said it would you stay...I'm saying I feel & it's just my opinion but when talking to my congregation, that's their claim to fame...that reply comes out way before they say it's the Truth.

I don't think it's God's org. because, they claim they are guided by the Holy Spirit...can't be....the Holy Spirit is never wrong....the reason they have to turn on so many NEW LIGHTS is when this religion got started they wanted to be so far away from other religions...they dug too deep...back in the day when folks couldn't read to well, they could say anything, & who would say they were wrong....they must be right because I can't read. New Lights are just scriptures they misinterpreted to not be like other churches...so instead of saying...we messed up...New Light...

So again, I don't believe this is God's org, but I do think many wear it like a badge of honor.

Some commented on why folks stay here or there...& that's a good point..we all have our reasons why we do what we do....

I currently am a witness I see everything that all of you see, I agree with most if not all on this site...I'm not mad at the org....I have good sense and I can read...I would do my studies then come to the hall & they would explain & I would say, ummm, that's not what the scripture said, & that's not what God nor Jesus said. I can't be angry with an org that told me & I knew it wasn't right ....but didn't want to make no waves....& it's alright to disagree, but keep it to yourself, ain't no place of worship where you gonna agree with all they say....I am saying these things to folks who still believe in God but not the org. Many don't believe in God, but they believe in something....man has to believe in something....The Sandman, Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, Guardian Angels, etc....that's how we are made...

I can't rightly say how and why I'm a witness...but I do know if I'm not supposed to be there....in time I'll be gone..

So to make myself clear, I don't believe this is God's org...& I ask questions to make us all think and take a look at ourselves instead of always blaming something outside ourselves....I don't come on this site to debate nor to exercise great writing skills....I'm just real and call it like I see it..

One big issue I have amongst others with the org...DF'd.....how can a person turn love off and on like that...how can you shun your own children and not talk to them.....how can a mother carry a child in her belly all that time, nurture them & just because that child doesn't worship like you, you would turn your back on them....what kind of mother is that ? Or should I say parent....if a parent can do that....that just tells you they don't love you..so all you can do is try to move on...the world and the folks out there are great.....

The best thing one can do when leaving the org...is don't prove them right....be a decent person. Don't let them have that.

Great replies...some I didn't think of. Scratchme 1010, you are so right...they are comfortable there.

LonghairGal, I've heard about these attitudes...but I tend to hang with the friends then back away from them....I'm glad you are out and hope you are happy. In this life we don't know how long we will be here..so for the long or short time we are here...be happy, that's the best medicine.

I still think some of the reasons folks stay is because it's God's org. so they think..like being married to a famous and rich person....they may not treat you right but the benefits...some folks much rather be miserable. Many may not admit that they thought that, because it does sound a bit shallow...so I put the question out there...just to see if people are real enough to admit...Yeah, I stayed because it's God's org...and they can be wrong as two left shoes but I'm staying...

i had seen it before but never actually looked.. sure enough in july 15 2013 wt .... 17 in the past, we have stated in our publications that these last four references apply to jesus’ arriving, or coming, in 1918. as an example, take jesus’ statement about “the faithful and discreet slave.” (read matthew 24:45-47.

) we understood that the “arriving” mentioned in verse 46 was linked to the time when jesus came to inspect the spiritual condition of the anointed in 1918 and that the appointment of the slave over all the master’s belongings occurred in 1919.

This is just a bunch of double talk, the org. kind of knows that most of the friends won't understand it, only that it's a new light, & they will never let on they don't know what the heck the org. is talking about. But bet ya, they will pretend they understand it...but this is how you can find out if they understand it...Ask a JW...what exactly happened in 1919 ?

Now I don't think there aren't other reasons, but just talking to the friends...this is what I get....Well,, we have imperfect people but God uses them...but it is God's org. we can see by the preaching work....I really want to say really? IBM has been in business forever...and they are successful...who backs them ?

So I feel the badge of honor for the majority is that they think that's it God's mouthpiece...That's why The GB's/anointed are scrambling to hide stuff....they don't want the friends to think otherwise...it's their reputation...not God's rep...God don't need no reps...

Lately, there have been ads regarding child abuse...tv, papers, leaks & so on, & they still won't listen....to me, it can't be any other reason than they are carrying Jehovah's name like a new wife....

Why is this blind allegiance to the anointed ones?

even when they know that certain things are not right with the organization the flocks are blindly following their leaders viewing them as the future “kings and priests” (originally a sumerian concept).. greed for a “land of milk and honey” (either in this life or the next) is at the root of their allegiance.

interestingly, greed is something the flocks are warned against: ‘be on your guard against all kinds of greed which is idolatry.’ (luke 12:15; colossians 3:5).

Because they lay down the bread crumbs to paradise for the friends....This makes it that you are not responsible for your own relationship with God...Whatever they say, we will do, that way they don't have to think...

This is a religion for neat people....everything all wrapped up in a bow...Most witnesses are neat freaks....so this is a good religion for folks who are like that and have germ problems...

Most are afraid of not belonging or fitting into someplace where as odd as they are...they are excepted...They don't care about the doctrine flip flop, or that they know something is wrong, but yet they obey....because...as I have said on this site millions of times and no one ever addresses it because I think I'm stepping on toes or peeping many peoples cards....most folks are in this org. because it's supposedly God's org. that's all that keeps them there...they are married to God, because they carry his name...kind of reminds me of a person married to a person that doesn't treat them right but because they are married, they don't care because they have someone and you don't....

The Big question to ask the average JW.....if this was not God's org....or the anointed said, new light...now we have tried to follow the bible as closely as possible but with much thought, we are not God's org....how many would stay and how many would go...Most religious people have an elitetist gene anyway....so those who are attracted to this religion, that fits them just fine....

The rich will not inherit the Kingdom of God—Did Jesus really say this?

it is our experience that love of money brings action towards accumulating abundance of wealth which ultimately convinces the owner that “i was wasting my time” which in turn motivates him to turn into philanthropy (like bill gates and co did).

this is a perfect design (designed to work independently of god) like a journey of which the first half is wasteful and the second half is fruitful, and it is to be viewed as a whole.

hence it is unlikely that jesus would say: “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of god.” (mathew 19:24) verse is obviously attributed to jesus by later writers.. this means question of morality is not complicated if viewed as a whole process.

Oh yeah, forgot that part, sorry, it's truly I say to you (no today)...but you got that right...there are many who pretend to be poor I see them all the time at the hall, crying broke with a loaf of bread under their arms...they travel all over the place, love to go where the preaching is banned...so to get the brothers and sisters in trouble by talking to them, not thinking when they get back on the plane and come back to the US where it's safe, then come to the hall and say, we went to Japan or wherever and the brothers have it rough there, we were not able to really speak to them because....& so on...I really want to say, why did you go to put our brother and sisters in danger, they still have to live in these places when you go...

Yep, most of my congregation are well educated and live in either co-ops or own homes....get new cars and such...when they go away they don't tell anyone because they don't want anyone to know they can afford to go abroad...why, because they cry broke so much...they also cry broke because they don't want anyone to know how much money they have so they won't get asked to lend...Once a sister said to me...well, you have money, I said, true I make a good living, because I work for it....but I may have money but I don't have to lend to anyone if I don't want to....but I wouldn't go around saying I'm poor, that's a sin, because God has blessed me with a good job and salary & I have the nerve to say I'm poor...Wrong....I give to whom I feel I want to...

They think the poor meek ones are the anointed...that scripture that says when disciples asked Jesus when did they give to the poor and Jesus said when you gave to the least of folks...the org, translates that to the anointed not to real poor people...

So Jesus should or could have said those who have riches and don't share won't inherit the kingdom....and then he could've added, I'm talking to your JW's...

So as stated Jesus didn't say they won't he just said it will be hard....
