Laziness of JW parents?

it seems that many witness parents are simply taking the lazy option when it comes to raising their children.. by this i mean, they will happily outsource the education of their kids to the ready-made information on jwdotorg.. need to keep the toddler busy?

just stick him in front of a colourful caleb and sophia cartoon.

or lets play coloring-in on ready made pictures of bible characters getting killed.. need to manipulate the mind of your growing child?

Hi All,

Me being a witness without drinking the kool-aide...what I've noticed about some...many of them don't want children. I even found out that some of the women didn't want children .....but they have them & serve Jehovah on a cold plate....They make good little witness kids, nice, polite, humble....but a social mess, unless they are around their own...I noticed that some of the friends have many kids...but that's before they came in the truth..most witness have 1, 2 or none....don't have time for a bunch of kids...got be ready for our mid week meeting and Sunday meeting and family study, field service, socializing with only witnesses, letter writing, parts on the theocratic school, trying to keep up with all the latest video's, literature, &&&& JW.TV....you a good witness if you can say that in a conversation....means you are keeping up....have I missed anything...

Parents may be lazy because they think that the friends are babysitters...and complain about having kids..how difficult it is....well they are not the only ones to have children but you know witnesses are, they are the only ones suffering...why should they pay rent, why should they have to take care of their children, why should they work, and so on...

Children are a big responsibility in or out of the truth...being a parent isn't easy...for nobody...in this fast pace world most parents are getting lazy...they are stressing out their kids, with all the activities they sign them up for, why ? Because they don't want to spend no time with them...entertain them...teachers complain how parents want them to raise their kids, the parents teach them nothing at home...let the teachers do it, so the kids don't learn nothing, because the teachers are teaching them stuff they should have learned at home...

So are JW's parents lazy..no more than most...they just want the fun in making them, but that's the extent of it..

The org. makes the parents so busy they can't pay attention to their kids...

"The purpose of reporting field service time is for encouragement"

i was told this when i was an aspiring jw, aka unbaptized publisher.

the above explanation didn't make sense to me then and it never did make sense throughout my jw career.

over time, it appeared to me the real purpose of field service time reporting was to gauge one's spirituality and for the ceo *cough* co to make sure the elders were on top of things during his visit..

Hi All,

To the point...The purpose is to be seen....if witnesses were to help mankind, it has to be seen...nothing else would ever do. Plus many have heard that JW's are the only one's that go out and should keep up the good work. Once they asked at the hall, how many came into the Truff, via door to door....Silence...The fuller brush man and Avon are no longer knocking on doors....duh..

I'm a witness & I go out...I like being with the friends...but once in a while someone opens the door...& we stand there like ...now what ? Most of the folks in the area know us, no biggy...see witnesses don't care if they get converts, they are doing what they think Jesus/God is commanding them to do...the other one they do is go to the meetings...that's the extent of what witnesses can & will do...as long as they do what is commanded by the GB's...they are good. But here's the kicker...they always feel empty or not doing enough...why? Because they don't...oh yeah, some needed to change some of their ways, but witnesses take decent folks and make them judgmental and bitter....& think too much of themselves...Many of them see the world helping others but do they, no...just hand out paper and standing around...so in their quiet moments, they feel they are not doing enough and guess what, they are not...

I guess it can be encouraging but only if you get someone with a good ear, like your field service partner...it's all about the #'s....also field service keeps you on that wheel so you don't know what's going on in the world or in the org....keep'em busy...

What is sin ? It varies from person to person...some people think cussing is a sin...some folks think it's ok to kill & so on...to me...the biggest sin is ....NOT TO BELIEVE...to believe you are the all to end all, & don't we have examples of those type of people who feel they are not accountable and can do whatever they want...Like Trump...Humans cannot handle power. Power is sexy...it makes you think you are more than you really are...When you don't think something or someone is bigger than you, you lose sight of life and humans...you lose empathy and compassion...so not to believe in anything that is bigger than you...to me that's a sin...You can believe in God, The Sun, 10 virgins in heaven whatever, but whatever gives you a conscience not to think too much of yourself...

So What is Sin ???? to me...NOT TO BELIEVE....

They think just because they can quote scriptures they are more intelligent than anyone else...NOT...a child can be taught to quote scriptures. Most witnesses are full of themselves....they think that when they go through something it's persecution. Everybody in this world is going through one thing or another...everybody...But witnesses think so much of themselves they believe they are Teflon...

Too add, they act humble...but they are anything but humble...I'm in the hall...most of them are just good pious acting actors and actresses...

Hi All,

I think most are just putting on that they are not educated, it's a sign of being pious...I have many professionals in my congregation, but when they get the mic. they sound so meek and mild...like butter wouldn't melt in their mouth...they sound mousey...but when out of the hall, they say, I'm a speech therapist or a teacher, yet when the society mispronounce a word, even the most educated will mimic the org...like Baruch, they say Barak...when it's really pronounced Ba'Ruk...there is a college in NYC, it's named Baruch too and pronounced Ba'ruk...once someone on the stage said Apost'tils...suddenly everyone in the congregation was saying it...uh? anything to be different...finally, I said it's pronounced Apost'sils...

Again, I don't buy the uneducated mode...remember JW's are about image...won't do nothing unless they are seen...I bet you if the org. would give them hours or points for going to college....then they would be more educated...

Many claim that all the literature is the same as going to college...really...NOT...

When JWs Pray for Houston

when i hear prayers given by brothers why do they only pray for other jws not all people??

i remember hearing a comment from my mother saying 4000 jws are affected by this...and i'm thinking yes that is sad but what about the tens of thousands other people affected?

too me it just doesn't seem right to just pray for jws but to pray for all victims.

I'm back, I tried to find the bible study book that mentioned we/JW's should pray for all...they used this scripture:1 Tim. 2:1-6-First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made concerning all sorts of men, 2 concerning kings and all those who are in high positions,*+ so that we may go on leading a calm and quiet life with complete godly devotion and seriousness.+ 3 This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God,+ 4 whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved+ and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. 5 For there is one God,+ and one mediator+ between God and men,+ a man, Christ Jesus,+(is this the Trinity or are they mentioned separately...God, one mediator between God and Man...Jesus, I'm just saying) 6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all*+—this is what is to be witnessed to in its own due time.

Again, most witnesses are inbred...be thankful that God gathered them in one place...imagine, they would be walking amongst us...and creating the same havoc and kaos that's in the society...

A couple of words come to mind...THEY ARE IMBRED...& a couple of more words...they don't care about anyone until it happens to them....

Everybody knows God...especially when trouble comes, even if not...what about a new hairdo or new outfit...OMG...don't everybody say it ????...I think so...

A long time ago, I asked a brother to pray for a friend of mine...he said he couldn't because they were not a study or a witness...and another sister told me the same thing...well...don't you know..at one of the midweek meetings when it was time to study the bible study book don't remember if it's this Kingdom Rule book or the one before, well one of the questions was should we pray for others...there is was in black and white directly from the scriptures....YES...I looked at both of their body language...they were stiff as boards...I'm a newbie and they mislead me...well, it's not their fault, they were mislead and don't have the sense to read the bible for themselves..

So yes JW's are supposed to pray for all...When I get a minute, I post where I saw this...I told this story before, so many of you may have read it before, but this topic fits best...

1 John 5:13-20 Jesus is the true God?

one of the main things i am trying to wrap my head around after waking up to the nonsense of jw.org is the deity of christ.. jws go out of their way to ignore him, it seems to me.

they make him out to be an angel or something.

yet, if one simply reads the scriptures, you get an entirely different picture.. doing some bible reading this morning i accidentally (long story) read the latter part of 1 john 5 and it's good stuff.. after reading it in the niv i read it in nwt and it is still pretty amazing even in that abomination of a translation.. it says.... 13 i write you these things so that you may know that you have life everlasting, you who put your faith in the name of the son of god.

Most folks like the King James Version of the Bible, that way they can prove Jesus is God...One of the most debated scriptures is John 1:1...The Word was with God and the word is a god....small god...NYT, now let's look at KJV:In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God....these scriptures really confuse folks...The same was in the beginning with God.All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.1John 5:Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God....did God have to Born himself...1John 5:5: Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1John 5:9-10-If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

So, Is Jesus God or the Son of God ? You read it for yourself...Ask yourself...Can God die ? Would you give up your child for anybody...NO, you wouldn't...you wouldn't give up a ham sandwich at 11 o'clock at night...that's why people don't want to believe in Jesus, because most humans are selfish...maybe just maybe God did give his son for us...when a person looses their child don't you think God knows what that is like...he watched his son be tortured for nothing but for us...God watched his son...so when folks say, God, where were you when they killed my child...God can identify and say same place I was when they killed mine...but I had to let it happen to save you...

Why are we fighting about God being Jesus or not...Jesus gave his life for us...end of story...God said whoever believe in my son....God can take care of himself...he wants us to worship someone who died for us...now whether this is true or not..who knows...

The words are sacrifice...& unselfishness....Words that humans find it hard to live by....so it's easier to fight about if there is a Trinity or not...The bible is a simple book but the hard part is to do it...

Joel Osteen's Church is a Cult too ??

it's being said all over social media that joel osteen hasn't opened his mega church for refuge during the storm, pictures are showing this area is not flooded.

i made a few comments myself saying that the jws only help their own in time of need but this god fearing man isn't helping anyone.. just what religion is he and his followers, i guess it's one of those non-denomination churches that collect a shitload of bucks to him and wife so he can afford the glamorous life, nothing new of course, i thought he was just a bit different than the others, fooled me..

With all the religions in the world or in the US...so called Christians...there should be nobody that needs or want....There are more Christians/and other religions, that there should be no homeless and in times of need there are enough religious folks to help...

One thing about religious people they won't help nobody unless they get recognized...

Most of us talk a good game until we have to apply the scriptures....The good Samaritan, take care of widows and children and so on...we read it and can quote scriptures...but put our money where our mouths are....

Most pastors, reverends are actors and have the gift of GAB....Most of them fail the success test...they forget the flock and only care about the $$$ and the attendance and how wonderful they are....

Wonder if there are any real preachers out there that don't want nothing and just want to preach....

Can't trust religious folks...but thank goodness most of them are in churches, mosque, etc...just think how bad they would be if they wasn't there..

Is The Watchtower Corporation Facing A Meltdown Of Confidence Among Its Members?

looking at all the narcissistic bull shit the watchtower corporation has been spewing out for the world to see about suffering of its members to as nothing worth being very concerned about and as jehovah magnificent be vindicated is much more important.

have they really gone off their rocker enough for a very sizable portion of membership to see their insanity and jump ship?.

i think definitely they are losing all respect from their internet savy members as their madness becomes obvious.

I'm still in...I've noticed a weird vibe in the hall...I think folks are thinking but not re-acting, just going through the motions...the org., is throwing so much at the friends to swallow...they are not inspired, not infallible, did not say anything about 1975, The ARC (folks know, why I know they know, because it's not talked about, that's when they know, when not a peep is spoken). When attending assemblies, not too many baptism candidates....there was a time when they frowned upon young ones getting baptized, now look....

The talk that you hear among the friends are about the JW website....that's where they are zealous, like they are in the know....

It's not about confidence it's about the social aspect of the org., many of the friends are afraid of their own shadow...they are in-bred....

Most are witnesses because it's a badge of honor...
