Very Lost

hi i've been a jw for 12 years and got married 2 years ago.

i'm now separated.

my husband hid from me that he suffered from depression, extreme anxiety issues and a personality disorder.

These people leave you in the hands of Jehovah, but from personal experience I can assure you that no amount of prayer and tears can cause Jehovah to help you, even if you are in your darkest our. Because he is a god created by Jehovah's witnesses and not real IMO. He fits their desires for control and sexism, hence you find yourself isolated when the dream crashes.

If you want something to change you have to find strength in yourself, or other 'real' people that will actually feel empathy when you cry.

i know we have spoken of this before, but in light of the appaling november 2017 jwdotorg broadcast, these scriptures just need to be highlighted!.

please re-read them, and tell me if they don't apply to the society !?!.

The magnitude of frustration I feel towards this org is hard to explain in words. If the org was a person it could be diagnosed as a sociopath.

Some symptoms:

recommendation 16.27. the jehovah’s witness organisation should abandon its application of the two-witness rule in cases involving complaints of child sexual abuse.. recommendation 16.28. the jehovah’s witness organisation on should revise its policies so that women are involved in processes related to invesation and determining allegations of child sexual abuse.. recommendation 16.29. the jehovah’s witness organisation should no longer require its members to shun those who disassociate from the organisation in cases where the reason for disassocia on is related to a person being a victim of child sexual abuse..

Being recognized as a religion is like a get out of jail free card it seems. You are only subject to 'recommendations'.

It's like a murderer or thief going to trial and the court 'recommends' they don't do it again. How will they ever be rehabilitated or society saved from their effects?

after 9 years of waiting, the local witnesses are getting their new kingdom hall.

it is being built on a back road next to a sandpit.

in an all cash transaction, disney has purchased every share in the watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, inc.. their most recent in a slew of acquisitions including pixar, the muppets, marvel, lucasfilm and most recently 20th century fox, disney plans to "leverage their preexisting infrastructure and fan-base" for future content.. removing robert ciranko, who took over for don alden adams in 2014, disney is installing as president john lasseter, who already helms both disney and pixar's animation studios.

recently disgraced and on leave for allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct, disney said he was "just perfect" for the job.. plans include making yearly theatrical films with post-credits scenes as part of a crossover shared universe with preexisting watchtower film characters like caleb and sophia, the prodigal son, the roman family and the bad worldy boy from school (with nicholas king reprising and expanding his role), as well as an educational disney jr. show, "little chuck", aimed at toddler's, hosted by a young version of ct russell sporting a pretend beard..

australia's royal commission into child abuse released its full report yesterday, so it was gratifying to see the uk's bbc run this headline on their website this morning (aussie time):.

australia jehovah's witnesses 'did not report 1,000 alleged abusers'.

hopefully, all over the world people will learn the shameful news of what yhwh (as guided by the holy spirit) told his earthly witnesses to do.

sometimes i have expressed a longing for jw organization to tone down its rhetoric and become, well, nicer and more loving.

i have not been alone in my hope.

some posters have even said that if a wave of kindness washed over jw organization and, say, the shunning doctrine was modified (e.g., left up to the individual's conscience without fear of retribution from elders), they'd go back.

And this is not about waiting on a mythical savior who is forever on the verge of coming - just like JW organization's insistence that the world is forever on the verge on ending.

You imply that I say he is on the verge of coming to group me with JW's and somehow discredit my reasoning. This is fallacious, and funny. I just expressed my religious belief in Christ, which anybody who knows me knows comes and goes in the aftermath of leaving JW's.

@steve2 and magnum,

I understand the dislikes, but when I am angry and feel hate, I am conflicted about directing it to my mom or the org. She is one that will follow them into the fire, and how can I hate her? I feel unable to do that. I'm out but shes in and I hope for ease in her suffering because I fear she would 'go down' with this hellish org.

Maybe you are right and its an effective way to free people, but I cant help getting sad and emotional about it.

Hell Exists

many people of all denominations are beginning to believe that hell does not exist - but the bible supports the claim that it does.

examine this verse, one under nkjv and the other nwt:.

nkjv - matthew 25:46, "and these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.".

I don't think the eternity of hell is in question, rather the nature of hell or what it represents, and whether you are referring to Hades or Gehenna.
