Return to Kingdom Hall Meetings - Letter to Elder Bodies?

i find this hard to believe and have not seen anything on this from our trusty sources on this site.
can anyone confirm?.

Around here, the circuit assembly is scheduled for January, and the latest "official" notice gives the location as the nearest assembly hall. But I'd bet large sums of coffee beans that it just ain't happening.

The "Regular Pioneer" title has now become a total joke
by pistolpete inwe just had our co visit a few weeks ago.
apparently, he was encouraging all who could to regular pioneer, to at least try it out for a year.
because of this, we had a few people in our hall become one.. so this weekend we were on zoom service, and the sister that was just appointed was talking about it.

What's even more totally nuts is that there is still an "enforced" requirement of 50 hours (or 30 during certain months) for auxiliary pioneering.
So, you can be a pioneer and get 5 hours per month, but if you sign up to be an auxiliary pioneer and get 44 hour instead of 50, in theory, the elders could "get after you" (although, practically, I doubt anyone would) for not meeting your commitment.
Yeah, I know if several people who have joined up as regular pioneers recently. I'm quite sure their schedule will not allow them to get anywhere close to 70 hours.
It is, as has been noted on this thread here, supremely stupid. Why not just make everyone a pioneer, if there is no hour requirement? What's the bloody point?

There is also no proactivity.
If they mention a specific, direct concern in a talk, or video, or "especially) in a Watchtower article, you can be 110% certain that they are responding to dozens, hundreds, maybe thousands, of reports from their functional KGB, the circuit overseers.
Here's another example, from this week's Congregation "Bible" Study (Pure Worship Restored, 2018):

Why are they coming down so hard on people who "approve of immoral conduct"? Because they've heard from their COs that JWs are weary of hating homosexuals, and JWs are neighbors to homosexuals who are more moral (true sense, not JW sense) than most JWs, and JWs go to school with homosexuals but astonishingly are not persuaded to change their own orientation, etc.I.e. JWs are discovering that sexual orientation does not make a person "good" or "bad", and that homosexuals can be and often are better people than even JWs.
Can't have that! So the WTS responds with anti-homosexual vitriol and tells their followers "this is what you must believe".
