Midweek meeting is where they read off all their announcements, including disfellowshipping announcements. Seems pretty unlikely they'd want to read off names of those DF'ed at a meeting ostensibly for the "public".

Yet of course, they rarely highlight the fact they had very different teachings in the past and kept changing them.
LOL, that's the thing.
They keep harping on and on about their "rich spiritual heritage" and old books, old phonograph records, old radio broadcasts, etc.
But if anyone of today's JWs would spend a non-superficial amount of time actually reading or listening to what was taught 100 years ago, or 75 years ago, or even 50 years ago, they'd immediately think it was some sort of "apostate conspiracy to make us look bad" or some such.
Their "museums" and "libraries" are stuffed with books that you are just supposed to admire the covers of, not actually read.

JWs believe that non-JWs are "individually blessed by God", when they pray for help and then 5 minutes later (as the stories always go) a JW couple knocks on their door and offers them a "Bible" study.

Is WT Using ATTENDANTS At The Conventions To Be: "TOY COPS"
by HiddlesWife ini have heard from a few ppimis and several pimos that the attendants who are stationedly-assigned to the front entrances of the borgvenues (cahs and other arenas) have been checking to see if any persons (members and non-member visitors) have badges.
on the other hand, if these persons don't have one, this is what i was told that these dubs do this: corral around the non-badge-wearing individual and interrogate he/she/them plus questioning them, "why are you here?!".
also, even if that person or persons have an invitation plus showed it to these dubs, these toy cops still do that procedure.

I watched the streamed US Convention a few weeks ago. Not sure where it was recorded but there were 1,500 - 1,600 depending on the day. Only 4 baptised.
It was in an assembly hall in Connecticut, Newburgh I think.
It was curious, attenadnce dwindled as the days went on. Friday, which typically has the lowest attendance, had 1800 or 1900. By Sunday afternoon, less than 1600 were on hand to hear Rubberface McSteroid's last talk.

why weren't human's created to be obviously different from animals?
among believers there is some sort of universal hierarchy.

why, if we were not intended to get sick, do we have the mechanisms for coping with it when we are.
Similarly, why are penguins, polar bears, etc. built to handle extremes of temperature if the entire earth was designed to be a temperate tropical paradise?

JWs unrecognisable compared to my grandfathers time

he would turn in his grave if he knew the end didn’t come by 2023.. back in the 1970s he really believed in the 75 thing.
he was so disappointed and almost blamed everyone else why the end didn’t come.
