Name Withheld,
I can see that you go along with most of mankind who thinks that Jehovah is a hateful God to let us all die but it is what was given us from Genesis to Revelation. The Bible is full of death but we have a reason for it and how are we going to appreciate Jehovah's new system of government if we haven't lived in this old system with most people doing whatever they please. I agree with siegswife that Jehovah will forgive us our sins as he sent Jesus to remove that curse. We have the hope of a resurrection.

Hi Bill,
Please don't go. I don't post much but I've read alot of what you have written. I have enjoyed the way that Simon has fixed this website so that a person can go to all of the posting that a person has written. Yours and Amazing's are the ones I go to. We need men like you to pick up where the WTS has gone off the deep end.
I was wondering if you have forgotten Jehovah's underserved kindness that He has given to all of mankind?SC

opinion on judgement day...what u think?
by gotcha ini was thinking that based on the way god judged adam and eve as well as lot and his fam i can see that he only asked them to perform a seemingly easy task such as dont eat from that tree and don't look back..this seemingly easy task would actually be a symbol of one's radical obedience or rejection of him...so i think that maybe the next judgement day...god would ask us to do a seemingly easy task that would embody what our real feelings are toward him...and maybe all religions are like tools....they could actually help/put u down in terms of faith or get you ready for this final question..just like a class which gets you ready for the final exams....i dunno if this makes sense..oh well just an opinion...do any of you know about the catholic perspective of fundamental orientation/commitment?--mch

Jehovah and the heavenly angels know us intimately as they knew what Lot and his family would do. As we live and experience life we live a certain way. We are hard to change our ways so Jehovah has seen how a person lives as they watch us and are aware of our dealings with each other.
It would seem that there would be a judgement day as this is what is in the Bible. If we are following Jehovah's laws and obeying His commandments we shouldn't have to worry about judgement day.SC

There is no purpose for reading the Awake mag. It is a major distraction from reading and meditating on the Bible. The only good article was the Bible's viewpoint.

Larc,
I was wondering if you heard a voice that you thought was possibly God? What if it was satan and not Jehovah? If "he" told you to move away or leave your wife for another woman, what would you do? Wouldn't you do some research first to see if it would be something that God would ask of you?

questions about resurrection
by joelbear inokay, the men of sodom won't be resurrected, but what about the women and children who were destroyed at that time?
were they found guilty because of the men?.
will pharaoh be resurrected.

I believe that story because it is in the Bible. Roman 6:7 says "For he who has died has ben acquitted from his sin." 1 Corinthins 15:22 says "For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be make alive."

Resurrection, the best deal?
by joelbear inif you die before armageddon without hearing "the good news", you pay with your sins with your death and are resurrected into a paradise earth where you get to meet all of your resurrected family and friends and be taught the good news without satan and his demons and without being distracted by having to make a living, sickness, natural disasters, etc.
etc.. seems to me that is the best deal.
and if so, then, aren't jehovah's witnesses doing people a disfavor by offering them "the good news" now during this stressful time when if they reject it they will be destroyed at armageddon.. of course, there is no free lunch.

Joel,
Do you think that the Bible will become extinct in the new system? Jehovah's laws and commandments will continue.
Look at the scripture that this idea comes from. Luke 20:34-36 Jesus said to them: "The childeren of this system of things marry and are given in marriage, but those who have been counted worth of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. In fact, neither can they die anymore, for they are like the angels and they are God's childern by being children of the resurrection."The part that you should notice is verse 36 "In fact, neither can they die anymore". Who are the ones who can't die anymore? They are the ones who go to heaven to rule as kings and priests with Jehovah and Jesus. The majority who live on the earth still have to face the second test and the second death.

Jehovah has told us what has occurred because of Adam and Eve's eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It would be death. Genesis 3:22. So, we are all imperfect and if He had left it at that there would be no hope. Therefore we are all subjected to first death. Jesus died for us to live in Jehovah's new system where
we will have the resurrection of all the dead ones then when Satan is back to test us a second time then we will face the second death if we side with Satan. Jehovah and Jesus have provided us with hope if we obey His laws.

Read God's Word the Holy Bible Daily
by Nicodemus infor decades now, those words have appeared atop one of the watchtower societys buildings in new york city.. that exhortation may never have been more needed by jehovahs people themselves than it is today.
recent posts have asked good questions regarding what can or will sustain individual jehovahs witnesses who do truly love god, but who may be disheartened by various things they have seen in the organization.. it is clear to me that many witnesses spend far more time reading the societys publications than gods word itself.
one reason sometimes given is that the preparation and research has already been done for you, thus making it easier.

That's what I find confusing about the Watchtower Societies position. We hardly have time enough to read the magazines, brochures, Kingdom books and look up every scripture that goes along with it. The Bible by itself is awe-inspiring and complete as to what Jehovah has in mind for mankind. I found that so when I read it as a child without any outside religious influence.

I came into the truth by Witnesses who came to my door. First time when I was a child and my mother took the magazines for my dad. I read the mags and it agreed with my reading of the Bible. Then when I was married I had the Truth book from the door to door work and I studied that and was baptized in the 70's.
