I wonder if any law on reporting will change WTC's 2-witness rule. If the law somehow required them to report the abusers that are chronicled in their 3 CSA databases, would they obey the law or take their chances? I think that the databases have names that they fear will bring the organization down if revealed. I don't expect WTC to be more open, even though Jacson told the ARC that they would find it easier to report if required. They have proved that they will lie under oath, obfuscate and accept large financial losses to shield the pedos that they are aware of within their org.

Anything WTC produces will be out of print and Verboten later. Can anyone take them seriously? I have a set of Studies in the Scriptures and let me tell you, that is the most jumbled nonsense that anyone could ever devise. No serious Bible scholar would endorse the misinterpretaions that are presented as dogmatic facts.
WTC wants to call the changes "new light" but it is just the same old darkness. WTC should be ashamed, and they should get out of the Bible interpretation business. Their best bet is to stick with what they are good at - REAL ESTATE FLIPPING.

114,000, Literal, or Symbolic?
by Wonderment ina poster wrote to me privately, and brought to my attention the following comment below i made a while back in regards to the 144,00 number of revelation.
i had casually conjectured that this number was likely symbolic in line with the book of revelation being mostly symbolic in kind.
he brought up this juicy source:.

Vanderhoven, WTC talks out of both sides of its' mouth. Since Rutherford redefined the meaning of the great crowd and the 144K, they have struggled to make their narrative fit the reality of history.
JW's want part of the verses in Rev 7 and 14 to be literal while the rest of the verse is figurative. They say the number is literal but that the individuals are not literally virgins. They say the number is literal but the individuals are not actual descendents of Abraham. And the list goes on...
It is word salad by tthe time WTC finishes interpreting a Bible verse.

They tried to keep the facility in Argentina a secret but the Guardian broke the story. They are one of the secretive organizations that they always wardned against.

was Judas there?
by enoughisenough infrom luke 22:14 .
so when the hour came, he reclined at the table along with the apostles.+ 15 and he said to them: “i have greatly desired to eat this passover with you before i suffer; 16 for i tell you, i will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of god.” 17 and accepting a cup, he gave thanks and said: “take this and pass it from one to the other among yourselves, 18 for i tell you, from now on, i will not drink again from the product of the vine until the kingdom of god comes.”+.
19 also, he took a loaf,+ gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying: “this means my body,+ which is to be given in your behalf.+ keep doing this in remembrance of me.”+ 20 also, he did the same with the cup after they had the evening meal, saying: “this cup means the new covenant+ by virtue of my blood,+ which is to be poured out in your behalf.+.

The accounts do seem to lean in 2 different directions. WTC would love to write Judas out of the account, as if traitorous persons could not drink the wine and eat the unleavened bread. Does it really matter? Ray Franz, Ewart Chitti, Leo Greenleas, Rutherford and others partook and the sky did not fall. Shame on WTC for even making it an issue. It is just another distraction from the real issues that Christians must contend with.

What are the odds that Armageddon is soooo close?
by Vanderhoven7 inwell judging from past prophetic pronouncements....go figure.
"surely there is not the slightest room for doubt in the mind of a truly consecrated child of god that the lord jesus is present and has been since 1874;…" watchtower 1924 jan 1 p.5).
"the prophecy of the bible, fully supported by the physical facts in fulfillment thereof, shows that the second coming of christ dates from the fall of the year 1914.

I once asked an automobile restoration specialist why he left his cars out in the weather, subject to the elements while they waited for him to put them into the schedule for renewal. He said that he could undo all the damage as long as he got to them in a reasonable timeframe.
Whether the end is close or not, I suppose God knows that he can undo all the damage to mankind (and individuals) when he takes action for the salvation of all. That is hard to accept when I see innocent people suffering unspeakable pain. However, I still accept it.
The average lifetime of seventy-four years is not a long time, except when one is enduring. I still have confidence that even the worst pains in life will pale in comparison to the grace that God will extend. I once endured a terrible ordeal and thankfully survived. In retrospect, I feel that it made me a better person, even though no justice was ever served.
If the end is close, so be it. If not, I think we will still be saved and appreciate later that our confidence was not misplaced, or lost.
I hope this doesn't sound wishy washy, but it is how I honestly feel.

Was Jesus the Messiah circumcised ?
by smiddy3 inhas this question ever been raised before by jehovah`s witnesses?
and what`s the significance, if any ?.
-
ThomasMore
Fulltimestudent - I appreciate your explanation. It gives me something to contemplate.
You may be correct but I would think that in the scriptural sense, perfection relates to lack of sin (lawlessness). I have never considered that circumcision made a male child less complete somehow. I feel this way because it was required by God for all male offspring of Abraham. As for his reason(s), there may be many, but one seems to be that it was an identifier, something that Israel was reminded of often in several ways.
Circumcision does not seem to be "redesign" as if an uncircumcised male was flawed in some way. There may certainly be medical benefits - I am not a doctor. I suppose that the separation/identification aspect means more to me than other reasons, but I am open to reasonable arguments otherwise.
In the meantime, the greater challenge for most males is how to properly use that organ throughout life.

Watchtower looses Norwegian Appeal
by Diogenesister inwatchtower has just lost its appeal in the norwegian courts over the withdrawal of the funding it receives from the government as an officially recognised religion.
the initial decision will now stand due to what the court termed 'exclusionary practices' which includes the witnesses barbaric practice of shunning minors, even by family members in their own homes.
the ministry of children and families have decided they are now no longer eligible for the state grant of 16 million norwegian kroner given to officially recognised religions.. the following is a statement has been issued, i have summarised if it isn't readable: .

I venture to say that removing tax exemption from all religions in all countries would quickly help distinguish businesses from genuine religious organizations.
