  Call The Police and Press Charges.

  it strikes me as a double standard - if someone in the congregation is known by the elders to be a child abuser they wouldn't call the police and "bring reproach on jehovah" as numerous reports have shown.. however, if someone disturbs a congregation meeting the elders are instructed by the org to call the police and tell the police that they want to press charges against the individual.. you couldn't make this stuff up!.

  WTC also directs the BOE to call the police to report vandalism of a KH. I know this to be true as 2 KHs I attended were vandalized. The Branch instructed us to call the police immediately. Too bad they couldn't feel the same sense of urgency when they learned that a child in their midst was molested. Children are apparently worth less in the eyes of WTC than their quickbuild KHs are. It's hard to draw any other conclusion.

  Truthsetonefree - also heard of that one. It is outrageous dishonesty that WTC still claims over 8.5 million publishers when everyone sees the same shrinking going on. JWs don't want to admit that the religion peaked in the late 90's.

  this will be a short one.. i am looking for a csa court case that was posted months ago that was actually reported to a gb member and nothing was done because of the importance of the individual to the media production.

  anyone have the video regarding that case?.

  The Briggs case is settled now with an undisclosed out of court settlement. The accuser was awarded cash and her father admitted (as part of the settlement) to sexually abusing her. Her mother admitted that it was going on at Bethel but she did nothing.

  The father still lives in Ecuador, WTC still shields pedophiles, and victims are still silenced. The speed that WTC dispatched this case is remarkable. It indicates the degree of exposure they felt given the gravity and notoriety of the father and other B'Lites who knew what was going on. I am not bound by a non-disclosure so calling people out personally is a real possibility.

  in the latest copy of the elders textbook someone kindly made available to us on this website, i see that "independently organized meetings for spiritual feeding" are still not allowed.

  no wonder because independent research would let the scales fall from the eyes.. the gb still insisting that they are guided by the (always lower case) holy spirit and the bible!!

  not that the rank and file members need the bible or holy spirit themselves because they are fed through meetings, conventions, assemblies, jw broadcasting and the publications.

  WTC will not tolerate competition or any forum that could challenge their flimsy teachings. I saw this play out many times and each time, good-hearted people with sincere intentions were counseled to discontinue associating with others in the cong for fear that it could be viewed as apostasy. It was in direct opposition to Jesus words that where 2 or more were gathered in his name, he would support the effort by beign there (in a sense).

  WTC is the modern day religious leaders who do not lead the people to salvation and will not tolerate any who seek it apart from them.

  i have to say it, but i do.. i have a sneaking suspicion that because i was raised in the dangerous jehovah borgness cult, that this is the reason.

  i was told if god didn't watch me masturbating or smoking, then he'd let me live forever in perfect conditions.. i left the borg and as a result my jw wife left me and re-married another gung ho jobo.

  Punk, I am not sure how to measure happiness but I have no problem getting precise measurements on sadness. You have had some bad experiences and even though you deserve to be bitter or depressed or both, I hope you can find some meaning in the time you have left above ground. I won't recommend anything other than a good dog who keeps you grounded. Mine reminds me that someone depends on me and I am needed. I just can't let him down, and he never stops treating me like I am significant to his happiness.

  BTW - I enjoy your sharp-witted posts. At least keep me amused.

  i've copied and pasted this entire newspaper article from yesterday in full as just using the link hits a paywall.... berks judge lowers bail for former berks man accused of molesting boys in '90s.. steven henshaw, reading eagle, pa.. thu, december 8, 2022 at 4:59 am·4 min read.

  dec. 7—a berks county judge on wednesday halved the $1.5 million bail amount that had been set for a georgia man while he awaits recently filed charges that he sexually assaulted two boys in the 1990s while living in the hamburg area.. jesse j. hill, 52, remained in the county jail in lieu of $750,000 cash bail to await a preliminary hearing following wednesday's bail hearing before judge patrick t. barrett.

  the defendant followed the hearing from a cellblock in the basement of the courthouse via closed-circuit video.. state attorney general josh shapiro's office alleges that hill leveraged his family's trusted name within their jehovah's witnesses religious community to prey on boys as young as 9 during the 1990s, plying his victims with trips to the mall and r-rated movies, alcohol, marijuana and candy, according to the charges.. hill's lawyer, jay nigrini, petitioned the court for bail modification, arguing that hill's substantial local ties — he has resided in berks nearly all of his life — puts him at extremely low risk of fleeing prosecution.

  I have never seen WTC demonstrate genuine concern for victims. This case proves beyond a shadow of doubt that they did not consider the potential victims of Hill while he was DF'd and reinstated later. It is appalling to see how they fight to shield the deeds of abusers to authorities and others who end up within arms-reach.

  Hill was a "known child molester" (he confessed to a Judicial Committee) who was DF'd and later reinstated. While reinstatement usually occurs without the pre-approval of WTC, there is little doubt that the local congregation sought the approval of WTC (as well as the original Judicial Committee) and the Circuit Overseer due to the type of sin he was DF'd for. It is likely that they asked for direction from Legal and Service before reinstating.

  Had he stolen something from Watchtower or vandalized a KH, it is unlikely that he would have ever been welcomed back. Draw your own obvious conclusions as to why and you will probably be right.

  Watchtower looses Norwegian Appeal

  watchtower has just lost its appeal in the norwegian courts over the withdrawal of the funding it receives from the government as an officially recognised religion.

  the initial decision will now stand due to what the court termed 'exclusionary practices' which includes the witnesses barbaric practice of shunning minors, even by family members in their own homes.

  the ministry of children and families have decided they are now no longer eligible for the state grant of 16 million norwegian kroner given to officially recognised religions.. the following is a statement has been issued, i have summarised if it isn't readable: .

  "It's a lost for watchtower how ever this goes. Cause they been telling for decades members that everything is run by donations. That they are not part of the world. Now it's coming out they been getting government grants for year's, will same time begging for donations."

  All the while pronouncing doom for the governments as being part of the wild beast - "soon to be destroyed". Hmmmmmm. How do you spell hypocrite?
