  When The 'Tower Is Mentioned In A Will

  i assume someone from wt attends the reading of the will.

  an elder, a co, some especially selected person from the branch under whose purview this sort of thing is maintained?.

  what is the procedure?.

  I recall some local elders being asked to attend when a reading of a will was stipulated. A few large estates left WTC sizeable amounts, but no one from the Branch was invited. The deceased only knew local elders who maintained a relationship with them through their final years.

  I recall one state left to the congregation. Soon, the Branch took that in the great money grab a few years ago.

  I have specifically stipulated that none of my estate should go to WTC or any JWs who might pass money onto WTC. They would have to sign a statement vowing not to leave WTC anything also so that no comingled money could end up in WTC;s account.

  Has The Interpretation of the Beast Changed?

  my understanding* is that the un is supposed to be the wild beast of revelation.

  the un only came into being after wwii, so what was the beast before the new light came about?

  i can't see a speculative organisation like the wt not having an interpretation of the beast before the un came into being.

  NotFormer - I recall the speculation by evangelicals about the EU. I wondered how they would spin the death blow and resurrection of the EU. None was offered.

  JWs once felt strongly about the UN but now that the evidence is mainstream that WTC was an NGO, they pooh pooh the membership and now "it's not so bad after all".

  The fact is that no matter what WTC does, the R&F loyalists apologize for them. WTC does not apologize because they have minions for that.

  some time back i questioned about jw making money from doing relief work for disasters.

  i found this story on reddit and also noted some of the replies.

  it makes me wonder how many would have left their own jobs and paid their way, giving free labor and some supplying free materials if they had know what was going on behind the scenes.

  in the spirit of loyalty, the subject gets dropped, and there's no more talk about the old name again.. .

  When WTC FINALLY paid Olin Moyle the $30,000 awarded bythe court, they paid in COINS.

  The court dis not fine them but should have. Perhaps they were just fed up dealing with WTC slime.

  The New Busy Work

  for a hundred years the slaves were kept from having the time and energy to question anything and associate anywhere where they might be exposed to alternative views by having to keep up the busy work of going door to door.

  that avenue is drying up.

  and policy is changing.. the wt needs new busy work to keep the sheep engaged without thinking.. the wt fancies itself as an up and coming movie studio.

  Pepperheart2 - i am amazed that they still have magazines from those years. I can tell you with some certainty that they did not print surplus. The evidence suggests that the preaching work slowed down to such a crawl that they may have leftovers of those issues for the next century.

  Elderberry - piggy-backing on your ark scenario, all the animals died due to starvation. That is what is happening in a spiritual sense within JWland. There is spiritual food outside their ark but the doors are locked.

  JWland is a prison, not a fortress for the endangered to flee.

  Stephane - maybe they could start reporting CSA even if there is only one witness so that the police can investigate.

  Maybe they could stop the money grab of selling off assets without compensating the congs that paid for them.

  Maybe they could encourage the discontinuation of shunning, (although in my case it gives me a break from my toxic family).

  Maybe they could stop redacting their teachings online and be honest about what they taught that is/was false.

  Maybe they could come clean about being an NGO in the UN (present included) and what that actually means. If it is harmless fun, they should explain it that way. Surely the faithful will understand.

  Maybe they could be honest about their numbers (financial and membership) since both appear to be fabricated.

  I have many more but my thumbs have blisters now and talking about them makes a lump come up in my throat (vomit).
