God, if he in fact exists, is the reader of hearts and does not need a data base to find his worshipers nor does he require money because doesn't the bible say he could make the stones cry out?
These men are lying charlatans and dangerous.

hello everyone, i have an on and off again ex who is a jw.
each time her family gets involved and she's gone again.
i'm debating biting the bullet and doing the work to become baptized, so we can follow through with our engagement.
Getting baptised is not a minor formality to progress your relationship. Once you are baptised your life is no longer your own.
My advice is - do not get baptised under any circumstances.
i have seen so many that have left.
and their life turned into a dumpster fire.
most do not live the average life of living in suburbs, raising a family.
The ones that come back are ones that do not know the truth about the truth. They still believe what they were taught.
A friend of mine DAd themselves man years ago. Lived a normal life. Got married etc. Was out for 18 years at least. Her family "spiritual giants" shunned her for 18 years! Now back in she posts things on Facebook about how wonderful and supportive her parents are to her and how unconditional their love is. Ugh!
Just recently I talked to an old friend DFd 10 years ago. Had been an elder. Says he misses it and loved being a JW. He said you can't deny it's the truth!
Unless they are mentally out, there is a good chance they will return.
what do you think the crazies or strangest book they ever printed is?.
My husband and I studied the family book together while we were dating like good spiritual JWs should. Once we were finished we got engaged. Years later when a work mate of mine was having trouble in her marriage, I loaned her my copy and suggested it may be helpful. *Cringe*
She gave it back a week later and said it had absolutely nothing helpful to say.

I wonder how many religions ask their flock to sign data consent forms? Becoming more and more business like.
roll call for the benefit of newbies and lurkers.
in one sentence tell why you left the org.
not 2 sentences.
The GB cannot prove they are the faithful and discreet slave chosen in 1919 since the IBS at the time believed the FDS was Russell.
feeling pressure to attend the memorial?.
as a former elder i write this response to hopefully help those genuinely feeling “guilt” before their god.
if you are a jehovah’s witness or an “ex-jw” (for example, disfellowshipped or lapsed), then i hope that this will be of help to you.
Thank you very much for the research. I too came to the conclusion I do not need to attend based on the Watchtower's own teaching.
My mother, however, does not buy it due to the watchtower last week saying that God will be taking note of who is there and who is not.
She is now shunning me due to my choice to not go.
here's a link to jw org to a brochure that can be downloaded that summarizes some of the doctrinal positions of the organization.
it was produced in 2012.it provides a good summary of what blood products are acceptable and those that are not.
in so doing, it also makes them look like fools since there is no basis for their views.
Data-Dog I agree 100%. The fact that the r&f swallow this without any thought is infuriating to me. The hypocrisy of being happy to take any part of blood that has been donated by someone whose death you are praying for is mind boggling.
so i got a message from my auntie yesterday .
hi normalfulla , i was hoping id see you at the memorial this saturday 😊i miss you and the family.
please dont be one of the ones that give up right at the end.
Great response.
here’s a little back story.
i met this jw girl 4 months ago online and found out she was a jw 2 months later after confessing my liking for her.
we had a long conversation about it with her explaining what exactly a jw is and the rules and what not.
There are a few questions that would impact on any advice we could give?
The main one being - Is she baptised?
The other thing that is concerning is that you met online. People can be anything on line. I would be wary.
