  The new covenant is named in contrast to the old, mosaic covenant. All of Israel, including permanent residents were to obey, benefit from the old covenant.

  wi has developed the strange idea that only the priests and kings are in the new covenant, not everyone.

  Strange that the 144 000 partakers, royals and priest all, "come out of the 12 tribes of Israel [of god] "

  "spiritual" Israel is clearly bigger than just the partakers. the anointed, chosen, sealed are in the kingdom covenant, all the tribes, all the members are in the new covenant.

  The New covenant leads to everlasting life, being king, priest with Christ means more, immortality, but

  Everlasting life, when sacrificed, leads to immortality. You have to partake to get everlasting life, whether you live it or lose it by the ax, Rev.20.

  It is enlightening to have the heavy burden of mixed up wt doctrine removed from one's load,

  More recent history: David Splane in an official presentation said that older anointed ones than Fredrick Franz, the near centenarian existed, exist. . Those 2groups, if overlapping by ~20 years, as Franz did in 1914, would bring the Great Tribulation to ~ 2075. Do the math. (2x100)- (2x20) = 160, +1914 = 2074 as rapture of the anointed generation, then battle in 2075. + 1000 = 3075, not 2975 as asserted above, beginning of final test.

  cleaned those numbers up for you.

  something jumped out at me that i never paid attention to while reading further into matt 26...in vs 28, he tells them his blood is to be poured out for the many for forgiveness of sin.

  but note vs 29 but i say to you: i will no menas drink again any of this product of the vine until that day when i drink it new with you in the kingdom of my father.

  cross reference luke 22:18 for i tell you , from now on, i will not drink again from the product of the vine until the kingdom of god comes.. what is the point of all of this: matt 26:29 " i drink it new with you " mark 14:25 " drink new in the kingdom of god.

  a related question is, with relief from the effects of sin 1000 years away, why would the celebration of the memorial, the covenant for forgiveness of sin stop during the great tribulation, after the overlapping anointed generation of 1914 has passed away? after all,

  The kingdom did not come in 1914, it's coming is still being prayed for.

  The wt "generation" theories were formulated by writers who had no child birth or family experience. They counted on their personal uniqueness as a way into the future, not passing on life, their genes. The generation narrative in Mathew does not fit a second fulfillment, anointed or overlapping.

  The only fitting specimen of the generation would be an armageddon survivor who dies at the latest in the rebellion after the 1000 years have ended. " Passing away after all has occurred."

  vienne, I had the privilege to give a ride to an older german witness going to the old Gilead school site in Lansing NY, driving from the NY City Yankee stadium assembly, going north.

  He explained to me, that one of the hardest part of the incarceration was the wt doctrine of the absentee superior authorities,(Rom 13) that the nazi interrogators, and other conscientious objectors could prove to the bibel forschers to be wrong. He was talking about the 1940s.

  Imagine facing death, with valid doubts about your religion org.'s beliefs.

  The wt's return to scriptural beliefs on that was in the 60s, later than 1958. I remember the day.

  I was studying with a baptist, going through the "let god be true book." with him. On Rom 13, I tried to give a brilliant defence of the untenable wt position. ha ha. then, coming home to to our pioneer home, there was the brown wt subscription wrapper on our bed, (like in bethel) whats new? voila, "question from reader": Rom 13 applies not to the father and son, but the governments. wow.

  As the baptist had said "wt has made you a false prophet" ( spokesman for God) right, , ---I woved, --will not happen again.

  wt still leads it's members to possible condemnation by making them preach wrong, outdated doctrines.

  historician. James Pellechia, Jolene Chu and Johannes Wrobel gave tributne to the many JW victems in the 3th reich.

  these courages martyrs, might have acted more out of purely christian convictions than wt doctrine of the day, which denied the existence of the superior authorities, the governments "put in place by god".

  was 45 in 75, the family still owns the house we build then, because for us former special pioneers, it was cheaper to build then to rent, on 6 years notice. The generation switch to the "anointed" was the last straw.

  Jesus said the generation would pass away after the Great Tribulation, and it's climax Armageddon,

  wt now teaches their generation will pass away at the onset of the world final troubles.

  remember that, until 2075, the "best before date" for the overlappers.

  wt thinks they're going to rule over - , profit from - all, and all these millions of past partakers will be all among the "other sheep" on earth, slaving a thousand years for their keep. That idea gives new meaning to Peter's words of a "New Earth"

  Elders told to befriend young ones.

  someone on this forum kindly posted a link to the program of the current elders' training schools taking place.. i was just looking at it and thought that the part i have highlighted looks innocent enough unless the elder has an overfondness for young ones.. if he is spending too much time with the younger ones he can say, with hand on his heart, i am simply following through on the latest direction from the organisation about befriending, training, and mentoring the young.
