Just goes to prove that 'apostates' dont need to make up or forge anything about the WT, the truth is more damning than anything that could be 'invented'.

it's been a while since i posted last, even though i probably still suffer with a newbie status, i did some dandy postings a few months back.
my wife and i are now approaching the 1 year anniversary of our split with the wtbts, and are quite happy with our decision.. one thing we did last year was to write to the u.n directly (i think i got the address from a posting here on this site) and asked specific and direct questions about the wts's involvement and knowledge of ngo requirements.

There is nothing in the bible that defines what is 'married' except that a commitment is made to each other before god, this can be the decision that the two will live together, because, supposedly, god is everywhere, so it doesnt matter where the decision is made.
No ceremony is ever mentioned, just a celebration feast.
In many countries, a man and woman living together is provided for by the property rights laws, so the secular is taken care of too.

Possible Anti - Apostates here on JWD.
by link inthis is obviously in response to the thread "possible apostates here on jwd" started by flying high now.
it was clearly not intended to be taken seriously but it does reflect another possibility that should be considered seriously and that is that there are anti-apostates on this board.. i do not consider myself to be a particularly paranoid person but i have seen signs of things that do not seem quite right to me.
so what do i mean and how would an anti-apostate operate here?

by FlyingHighNow inabout a week ago it was brought to administrations attention that there may be apostates lurking on our board, as a precautionary measure we deleted 107 members who had never posted since they joined.
this morning sadly enough our attention was again directed to a possible apostate within our midst.
i don't mean to scare the pants off you fellow jwd members but it's been brought to the administration's attention that there may be apostates lurking on jwd, too.

Has anyone ever personally written to the Society?
by seeitallclearlynow ini've been listening to marlene mercado's audio testimony on jwinfoline while reading and posting here today; and it reminded me that i had written to the society once, years ago, and i received a response.
the response made me angry with them, although they were agreeing with me on something that i was complaining about.
what made me angry was that they made no acknowledgment that they put a lot of pressure on the brothers to reach out and even after they have attained an office of oversight, a lot more pressure is put on the elders and servants to do more, do just so, etc....they claimed that it was my elder husband's own fault that he was barely ever home, and when he was, he was in his den or on the phone with someone who couldn't make any decisions on their own.

I wrote to the London Bethel when I was studying, I included a list of books and asked if they would send them to me, because they are free, right?
I got a letter back telling me to ask the Elder I was studying with for them, he nearly crapped when I showed him the letter, "erm......erm.......they are very expensive to produce you know"
He did give me a few of his wifes books, but not many, seems like they are not so free after all.
