  well, we had a grand old time yesterday dakota red kindly offered his home for our mini-fest, and what started off as a little party for searcher (our uk guest of honor) became somewhat more than that .

  in alphabetical order, our group included: bikerchic, blueyes, bruce and dorian baker, buster and wifey, carmel, dakota red, goshawk, lost diamond, onacruse, princess and steve (and steve's mom and a family friend), searcher, seven006, songmistress, and veniceit.. carmel brought some delicious salmon for the barbie, and we even got searcher to have a taste.

  we overlooked the fact that brits prefer to eat fish in the form of fish and chips searcher and songmistress--when we brought out the cake, everything was fine until somebody started to sing happy birthday...the words just sorta stuck in our throats, and we looked around at each other like a bunch of dubbies lolololol.

  when: saturday, july 5, beginning at 4:00 p.m. (should give enough time for the hangovers from the 4th celebrations to subside) .

  where: our house (pm me for the address and directions) in murphy, texas (not as far as you'd think, honest!

  well folks, its finally here, and so am i, searcher in the us .

  i landed at dfw airport at 1.45 today(tues) and the first thing that happened is that they were'nt going to let me in the country !!!!.

  seems i had to provide an address for where i am staying and i didnt have one.. after much paper stamping we got it all sorted and i was able to procede.. outside the door of the customs hall i am met with an armfull of flying jesika, and a grinning navigator and moreisbetter, so its off to a bar for a drink, then back to nav's house for a cool off in the pool.. tommorow i am told, we are meeting for lunch at risky's in the stockyards, so anyone around should call in.. thats all for now, will post more as it happens.. american searcher..

  Day Two

  Had a wonderful time round the Stockyards in Fort Worth, with Navigator, Jade Moreisbeter and Jesika,(forgot me camera so will have to go back

  Searcher actually put SOUR CREAM on his STEAK.

  Yeh Done in honour of the folks I met in Amsterdam where I first had sour cream, hehehe, I like the taste,

  Shown round the downtown Fort Worth shops by Moreisbetter ( thanks hun, didnt know an old un could walk so far hm?

  Later Navigator, Moreisbetter Roo and I went to the OmniMax, what a great experience it is, after, on to mexican food and Margarita's

  Back to Navigators, pool hot tub and relax (in a big heap, those hot tubs will getcha

  what people nickname you can be very telling about your personality and it's funny that they sometimes become more a part of you than your given name.. i have a long list of them..lol!.

  when you encounter a jw who doesnt know you, do you tell them you are an ex?

  or pretend otherwise?.

  last night we were understaffed at work so had to call in an agency worker, i had to leave her in charge of 4 adults with autism while i did the rounds on call, every so often i called back to make sure she was coping ok. we got on well, chatted away and then at about 5am she starts witnessing to me...i end up coming home with 5 magazines..lol, she "placed" them with me.. i didnt want to tell her i was an exjw as it would have ruined the working relationship and made her feel uncomfortable.
