  Ever notice no pictures of any JW get togeathers?

  i remember when i was a kid in the early 70s that we always had a baseball game or picnic where they would get together and bring a dish to pass.

  every summer there was one or more.

  we had canoe picnic parties and camp fires ect.

  Two types of congergatoions

  i am not say this is all and it all fits nice into this box but the congregations i went to would all fit into them.

  the first type is the old school.

  this type is very conservative old school.

  I am not say this is all and it all fits nice into this box but the congregations I went to would all fit into them. The first type is the old school. This type is very conservative old school. They follow the rules and even go beyond in being restrictive. The other type is the hippies who turned JW. I have been in a few of these. The elders were old stoners and their wifes were old hippie chicks. Anyone else see congs like this feel free to add a class.

  i found out just last night that back in 2015 scientists discovered a piece of amber estimated to be over 15 million years old.

  inside the amber was a flea, very similar to the size and kind that attack and eat our blood today.

  whats even more astonishing is in the mouth they found bacteria that has the same make up as bubonic plague.

  I bought one on their sale day for 13 bucks. I use it to listen to music or talk radio get the weather ect.

  When you leave a cult after many years in even though you learn that its BS and a scam, you still have a nag in the back of your head for years. It takes time to get past it. After being out for 20 plus years I don't worry about the end of the world coming from a god.

  Would You Ever Go Back To The Witnesses??

  every once in a while you hear people say they actually “miss” their old witness friends and or family.

  some would have even stayed in the organization if they became a bit more liberal and open minded.

  If they paid me enough. I would say 500 a meeting and I can quit when ever I want and cash before the meeting starts and I don't have to answer or give talks or go in service.

  i was told by several elders to not get a dog when i was looking for one in the 80s.

  the end was close and we needed to focus on the preaching work.

  i know some have pets but a lot don't.
