i am by all accounts a witness, if not an ideal one.

in light of the reaction after the panorama program i have seen a mixed variety of responses.

at the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses the matter should stand good.

the wtbts pleads in defence of its policy for paedophile cases that 2 witnesses are required in accordance with deuteronomy 19 v 15. what they fail to grasp is the significance of verse 16 onwards.

i was sitting at the meeting last night looking for more things to be critical about (lol!)..

the year text is "come to me...and i will refresh you"-matthew 11:28. as i was staring at the text as it hung on the wall, i looked over at a married teenage couple who were disfellowhipped for "poking" prior to marriage.. okay, they had sex before marriage.

but they did get married.

when one is a member of a group such as jehovahs witnesses, it is not possible to be aware of the degree to which personal freedoms that are normally taken for granted are lost.

the mind-control techniques used by the watchtower society are by no means unique.

with the recent celebration of the memorial, there's been some discussion here.

and in other recent threads about the "social phenomenon" that is the partakers at the memorial.. i've been looking at some actuarial data recently, and i've found that this "remnant" are unexpectedly more vigorous than the other members of their generation.
