  Is God an international terrorist?

  the recent algerian earth quake has claimed over 1,000 lives.

  quakes hit without warning, indiscriminately killing hundreds in just a matter of seconds.

  quakes strike terror in the hearts of people who then become so gripped with fear they are driven from their homes.

  So if Adam hadn't sinned, and earthquakes etc are natural, would we still die if we were perfect, but got caught up in one of these extremes of weather?

  Or would we, being perfect, be able to sense them coming and move away?

  Or is it just silly to think that the creation account really happened?

  Earquakes, Hurricanes, etc are Natural and have happened all through human history, so how can this be man's fault ?

  Nothing man has done has caused these phenomenon to happen, they are a natural part of the Earth's cycle, so therefore, if God made the earth and it's cycles, then he must have created the exremes that go along with it.

  Are DF'd ones in your congregation friendly with you?

  when i was an active jw, everyone talked to me.

  when some were df'd, they avoided me, not to be shunned.

  now that i'm out of the org, "inactive since so many years", whenever i meet df'd people, they won't talk to me much.

  Everytime i'e met an ex-Jw they have been quite positive.

  The ones that leave for disiplinarary reasons usually still believe in the org. so are less likely to talk to someone that they feel is an apostate.

  But the ones that have left because they don't believe it is the truth are usually more than willing to talk.

  Still, I can't say I am friends with anyone that I used to go to meetings with who has left...but that's probably just because It's me!

  now, the war is over, the weapons were not used and of course have not been found.. how threatening could they be if they did not even use them when being invaded by a massive force (of the countries they hate)?!

  perhaps, as many suspect, they didn't use them because they didn't have them?.

  now we're being told that we'll have to be patient and give them time to find them.

  I don't think Simon would be too pleased comparing me to him...LOL

  I listened to the Powell presentation and he insisted that the satelite photo's were of WMD in-situ and they were the excuse to go in.

  He never said that they were pictures of sites that had been 'cleaned up' by the Iraqi's.

  He used a dodgy tape recording perporting to be an Iraqi soldier talking about removing WMD from a site...totally fakeable.

  In fact ALL the 'evidence' was dodgy and it was realised as such virtually straight away.

  Political campaigns disgust me

  i do not care if you endorse the republican party, democrats, independents, or even the green party.

  but to see such inordinate amounts of money go into campaigns disgusts me.

  the economy is flailing and people are homeless and starving, all the while these fatcats live high off the hog and mingle at dinners while kissing one another's asses.. this is not a post directed specifically at any candidate.

  Totally agree. Just that the thread was started with a piece on Bush.

  All the blatant lying in Tony Blair's government at the moment is un-believable isn't it...especially regarding the new European Union constitution.

  I think it's all falling apart at the seams. Years ago, everyone knew they were lying but didn't say so, now even the mainstream media (Daily Mail) are saying that they are lying.
