i'm not unduly worried about contracting sars, particularly as the chances of getting it are remote.
there's plenty more threatening illnesses around that aren't remote, but leastways i can have some control over these far more dangerous diseases by how i conduct my lifestyle.

the situation with sars in asia appears to be worsening and travel restrictions alone are likely to have a devastating effect on the immediate asian economy (singapore, taiwan, hong kong etc...) as a lot of these rely on trade and travel.. i wonder if the world could now cope with going back 20+ years to a time when fewer people travelled and international travel was a rarity for the majority of people.. nowadays we take for granted that we can jump on a plane and jet off to faraway lands ... but what if we couldn't?
i think one "benefit" (bad word) to sars is that it could put a brake on globalisation which i see as a bad thing.

If it has, then how has it all of a sudden jumped to humans? Most of the bio-weapons that man has created have come from tha animal kingdom, or are variations of common virus' that have been changed in the lab.
i know things work differently in the us (and i would be interested to know how your licensing works) but here in the uk, drinking laws which were created in the first world war have only recently been through a major shake up - and pubs which previously had to close at 11pm are staying open into the night on a license by license basis.. i was wondering how this has affected the "rules" given out from the platform.
the watchtower often criticised "discos" and that was easily applied in the uk as there only used to be basically two licenses 11pm or 2am (with a few exceptions).

It just seems suspect that a virus that has never been heard of before all of a sudden starts sweeping around the world.

I think your right. The Sumerian texts were written a long time before the Bible and all the way through the Bible, especially the creation, the flood and even Jesus, parallels can be made between the Sumerian writings and the Bible.
The Babylonians took a lot of their belief system from the Sumerians, and the Israelites were living in Babylon for a long time, maybe this is were they gat their 'history' from really.
i am just about to start the last chapter of this book, and i thought i would ask the question, then see the responses after i have finished it.. who has read it?

A book i've not long finished, which I would recommend is ' Tutankhamun. The Exodus Conspiracy' by Andrew Collins and Chris Ogilvie-Herald.

Has anyone heard of any Iraqi prisoners being taken to camp x-ray?
I know that Taric Aziz, the Iraqi spokesman, said in an interview in January that he would not surrender as he would be taken there.
Now that he has surrendered, is he going to end up there? And are others already there?
I know that Tony Blair strongly pointed out in the Houses of Commons that no Iraqi's should be threatened with this, as it would make them less likely to surrender.
