  WoMD ... so where are they?

  now, the war is over, the weapons were not used and of course have not been found.. how threatening could they be if they did not even use them when being invaded by a massive force (of the countries they hate)?!

  perhaps, as many suspect, they didn't use them because they didn't have them?.

  now we're being told that we'll have to be patient and give them time to find them.

  As you say, Blairs credibility is shot. He came out with the same line that he repeated before the war...that they DO/DID have evidence and that they will release it...soon.

  How many times did he say this before the war?

  we were very kindly treated to a night out at an open-air concert last night by one of the posters who was up in the area (kenuk and his wife).

  amazingly, for manchester, it was a warm and sunny evening and perfect weather to be sat at old trafford cc.. wow !

  Don't believe in Armaggeddon...why should I?

  Its based on a scripture from a book that is so full of holes and inconsistancies that I find it hard to believe any of it.

  Armaggeddon has been fortold for centuries...it seems that the 'last days' are lasting a hell of a long time.!

  I've got more important things to worry about than worry about a fable coming true.

  Unfortunately your wrong about the British suppoting you on Guantanamo Bay.

  During the War, Blair raised the point in the house of commons that he would strongly condemn it if the rumours were true that Iraqi prisoners were taken to Camp X Ray.

  They said that such a threat would deter Iraqi's from surrendering if this was used to threaten them with.

  I think your on your own on this one.

  Can you please explain why International law doesn't cover this situation?

  When the British soldiers arrested Terrorists in Northern Ireland they treated them as criminals to avoid the 'prisoner of war' title because the British government refused to accept that the IRA were fighting a war against the British, so they were called Terrorists.

  They were still provided with legal representation and were jailed for their crimes.

  What do you think would have happened if the British had arrested these terrorists and imprisoned them without trial or legal representation?

  The world, especially the Irish-American supporters of the IRA would have been up in arms and Britain would not have been allowed to do it.

  So doesn't international law cover these 'terrorists' ?

  They are either :

  1. Terrorists...so they should be tried for there crimes under international law.

  2. Prisoners of war....geneva convention should apply

  3. Criminals...so they should be tried for there crimes.

  There is no such term as 'Battlefield Detainees' or 'Enemy Combatants' these are just other terms to describe Prisoners of War.
