Can't say I've noticed a difference either way.

Do You Think "Religious" People Are Generally "Nicer" Than Non-Religious Ones?
by minimus inthere are many religious people in this world.
many that i know, are very friendly, accomodating and personable....because they're trying to act "christian".
the same applies to some observant jews that i know.

Restrictions on sanitation supplies at a$$emblies
by WTWizard innow that the grand boasting sessions are well under way, now is a good time to discuss what they are restricting on supplies there.
the "one towel" rule is quite famous by now.
however, i have heard scattered reports that they are rationing things like toilet paper as well.

I never heard of rationing toilet paper. I could imagine people getting PO'ed over that and throwing in a bunch of rolls and making the toilet erupt like old faithful.

numbers? LOL Did Jehovah come to him in a dream and tell him the digital binary bits are out to get him? Another has-been that thinks he matters. Too bad his music hasn't been good since the '80s. Poor guy.

How did you personally endure the torture during the DC?
by whatistruth inmy assembly was a couple of weeks ago and lets just say the only way i could possibly get through that b.s was by having some "funny stuff" before the sessions, then to my car at lunch.
pretty much slept the days away.
my wife would constintaly ask me what was wrong with me, i said i was feeling really sick.

oh and forgot to say that I spent my time at the assemblies eyeing (with binoculars) all the hot girls and letting my imagination run wild with them....

Hiding,
Maybe you need to just 'play the game.' My mother will ask me if I listened to the meeting and I tell her I did but I just don't tell her it was for 5 minutes. Put a miniscule amount in the contribution box like a nickel or something and that way you don't have to lie since you DID put money in the box. I'm a terrible liar lol so I had to figure out ways to not lie but at the same time do my own thing......if that makes any sense.

Like someone stated earlier, it's not just one thing that led to cancer for someone and it's rarely just one thing that will cure it. After the terrible side effects and miserable deaths (and lousy quality of life) that many of the chemo people I've known have gone through, I would pass on that, thanks. The stuff is like pouring drano inside of the body. Not to mention the cost. The father of someone we know had cancer in the early 1980s and took chemo but he had to stop it after just a couple treatments because it made him deathly ill. They're still paying the bill from the chemo and it's nearly 30 years later.
Also, one thing to remember is people today want a quick fix. They want to take "insert natural item here" (or even a drug) and they're cured! I can guarantee that if they take "insert natural item here" and don't change their diet, stress management/levels, and exercise then they're wasting their time.
Edit: As to the B-17 thing, I've heard about it and that's been about it. Never looked into it at all. Seems what I heard about it fell into the "quick fix" line of thinking so I just didn't look into it further.

Congregation Elders got a letter from headquarters on "Sexting". I guess this is the latest trend causing problems.
by miseryloveselders inlast week, my coboe, formerly known as the po, read a letter from ny giving directions on how to handle cases of "sexting" in the congregation.
i've vaguely heard of sexting in news articles.
i'm thinking though, the branch isn't going to send out a letter unless there's a trend.

It's actually just history repeating itself. This all went on in the 1990s on the computer via AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), ICQ, etc... Wasn't uncommon to have witness teenagers (18-19YO) sending nude pictures....

Standing Room Only at Tulsa District Convention
by darthfader inmy parents were to attend the dc in tulsa, when they arrived, there was no parking and no seats available.
is this because there are more people in the area or fewer locations and times?.
any ideas?.

It was packed there. Had to park 4 blocks away and got soaked in the rain. fun fun fun when the power went out, too.
