  What do ya do on a boring weekend???

  lol it kinda sucks.

  i had my first week at my new job (so a little stressed) and my big sis and i had planned on spending the weekend together.

  then she decided it wasn't a good weekend when i was all ready.. anyway, what are good ways to have fun when you're bored and have nothing to do all weekend and no one to go anywhere with?

  By the way, I like yer Id. I am alone in Illinois Feel like it anyway. I'm really starting to get mad at some "friends". It seems like whenever ya need someone, they never have the time to be there for ya...(in person anyway..I think everyone on the board here is great)

  I'm more-or-less alone myself. Friends suck sometimes, too.

  But in person, I think I have this aura like "Here I am...use me and pick on me!!..then throw me away!"..

  With me it's more like written on a piece of paper and taped to my back, kinda like in "Back to the Future" where the "kick me" paper is taped to the back of George McFly's back and the bald principal comes and rips it off. lol It does make you appreciate the good friends when you find them though. I liken it to having a bucket full of cubic zirconia diamonds with one real diamond in there somewhere. When you find that real diamond, get out the ring, put that diamond on it, and show it off to everyone and don't let it get away !

  ehm, wow you are out in the middle of nowhere, with the exception of Peoria, which I've never been to. Lived in Chicago and used to go to Bloomington/Normal a lot and Springfield. seawolf's useless info of the day to follow: The waitresses in the restaurant at the top of the Hilton in Springfield were hot.

  the bbc are re-showing the excellent "power of nightmares" series of 3 programmes.

  bbc2 23:20 on tue 18 to thu 20 of jan.. if anyone missed it first time round i would highly recommend it - you will sit in disbelief that people have got away with what they have and how manipulated the masses are.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4171213.stm.

  I wonder how this would be looked on at the kingdom hall? The site I was reading said something to the effect of that "yoga is spiritual but not religious." I'd imagine that doing yoga and it being found out at the hall would get me hit over the head with a large-print NWT bible.

  Do you know of any "baptized" JW's that committed suicide or attempted?

  i remember one of my childhood friends was found dead and the police said he committed suicide.

  i just could not believe it because my friend was a "devout" jw almost franatical about it.

  now years later since i have seen both sides of the coin i am beginning to wonder if my friend did indeed kill himself.

  a girl i work with told me the other day that she is going to the elders and ask them to "reinstate" her for the 4th time.

  a couple of years ago we where told by the co that some people were still using the green bibles.......shock horror!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  and that we shouldnt as it was showing that we didnt appreciate the latest ones...black or maroon.

  Dan-O, Interesting question. I still have several green ones. I never knew there was anything different between them other than the colors of their covers. In terms of Freon, the ozone hole is good for me since I'm always too white and needing a bit of a tan. :)

  thank you....you are at least ONE anti-bush person on this board that is willing to admit kerry is no different on the issue of wmds/iraq. i might not agree with you, but at least you dont have the same idealized view of kerry that blinds so many others.

  They aren't any different on the WMD/Iraq thing it seems.

  I don't like bush at all (and I was glad when he got elected, too, so you can see my opinion of him as gone straight to hell).

  fwiw, I think things will be worse if Kerry gets elected...
