ok folks listed wth the credits on the film "knocking, there is a special "thank you" to anderson cooper, other than him making a positive comment about knocking,in what other ways is he responsible for the production of this film?

what other help did he contribute toward it?

Gun control logic

the v tech shooter bought his guns legally.

gun control laws don't stop this kind of determined killer anywhere in the world.

the defenseless victims couldn't carry a gun legally on campus if they had one.

We simply do not get events like that in Europe. The last one was Dunblaine in Scotland if i remember rightly.

Erfurt, Germany, April 2002, a school was shot up with 2 students, 13 teachers, a school secretary and a police officer being shot to death.

People seem to forget that in 2002 a student at the Virginia Appalachian School of Law, Peter Odighizuwa, shot three people dead before students were able to retrieve guns from their cars and overpower the shooter.

A bill in the Virginia legislature last year that would have allowed students with concealed weapons permits to carry their guns at schools was killed, with VA Tech spokesman Larry Hincker heralding the move as action that would "help parents, students, faculty and visitors feel safe on our campus."

BA, do you really think putting guns in the hands of immature young men will remedy this situation? It wouldn't make me feel safer knowing that more idiots were carrying guns!

immature young men?? Militaries around the world don't seem to have problems with giving machine guns to 18/19/20/21/22 year-olds?

As to feeling safer.... I don't know what would have happened if students were armed there, but I do know what would happen if they weren't armed: many shot (with the ER doc saying not one had been shot less than 3 times) and 32 dead (33 if count the shooter). The shooter knew just where to go where no one would be able to fight back. Where I live someone thinks twice because many people are armed. Just recently someone tried to rob a bank and an armed citizen shot him dead right in the lobby.

so what was one thing that significantly preoccupied your mind today or part of today something you thought a lot about?

for me it was handing over some work on a deadline which comes up next week.

i can't go over even by one day so i better be on time.

My Master's turnoff -- disgusting. What's yours?

yesterday, i witnessed something disgusting, a personal turnoff i hadn't seen for a long time -- this on national tv and during the masters golf tournament.

here, the best player in the world (you know who he is) takes a finger with his right hand and closes off his right nostril, then blows his left nostril toward the ground.

no handkerchief, no kleenex -- nothing.

I can top that. A guy I knew in school would hock back a HUGE tsunami of snot, transport it to his throat then mouth and reach in with his four fingers and thumb and grab it like he was grabbing a chocolate out of a box of chocolates, pull it out of his mouth and smear it all over his jeans. He'd do this right while he was talking to you in front of everyone. Does it get any grosser than that??????

Going to a washroom in a restaurant, and the last guy in there who shit his brains out didn't flush on purpose. It ruins the meal.

Well, since the guy that did that was probably the same guy that was fixing your food back in the kitchen then it might not be such a bad thing that it ruined your meal and you left there hungry....

i had been having bad gas for a few days...when i mean bad, i mean clear the room bad and call in hazmat, it was so bad my dog left the room crying.. anyway, i was at the mall and i had to let one go and a man passed by and he said, "dam, they must be repairing the sewage pipes.

" i said, yeah, huh.

i was having a bad day but i just had to laugh.
