Vaccines - "Jehovah's" chariot does it again....
by neat blue dog injehovah's chariot, famous for being late to the game, copying other religion's chariots, or outright turning in the wrong direction does it again with vaccines.
immediately after the gb announced that masks are still required and that all hlc elders are required to be fully vaccinated, the cdc comes out with new covid guidelines:.
which "focuses on individual decisions" and "brings the recommendations for unvaccinated people in line with people who are fully vaccinated – an acknowledgment of the high levels of population immunity in the u.s., due to vaccination, past covid-19 infections or both.

Is burying someone on a golf course tacky?
by GabeAthouse intrump's first wife and mother of his children died recently.
they had her buried on his golf course.
do you think this is tacky or a savvy business move since it'll now get them some tax breaks as a cemetery?.

Are You Concerned About Inflation?
by Simon ini saw a statistic the other day that something like 25% of all the debt that the us has incurred since 1776 was created in the last 12 months.
that's because they have printed so much currency and instead of letting that stop them, they are going to continue printing more to go on a spending spree on crazy green-new-deal schemes and union handouts.. does anyone think that this can be anything other than inflationary?
they are effectively stealing the wealth of everyone to then hand money out to people.

It's actually 8.5%, his economy is in the shitter and people are suffering. He's a modern-day Marie Antoinette, so out of touch because nothing impacts him (he's also doolally out of touch and probably thinks it's still 1962).
Q: Where are all the fact checkers for this WHOPPER of mis-information!
It's been fact checked all over the place. He was referencing net inflation for the month of July. Not the total inflation compared to last year this time. -

The CALENDAR GIVEth and the calendar TAKEth away! (a fun topic)
by Terry inthe calendar giveth and the calendar taketh away!did you know…?we are all familiar with the disoriented feeling of time distortion when daylightsavings time occurs twice each year - but - imagine the radical discombobulationa calendar change resulting in the disappearance of 300 years!
!yeah - i know!but that could never happen.
or maybe um - well - nah!

His “theory” also conveniently ignores the rise of Islam. Apparently, this massive new religion controlling a swath of territory from India to Spain materialized overnight out of nowhere.

Booster shots required for Bethelites and special full time servants?
by PimoElder init’s a shame the gov body did a big u turn on vaccines .
if they continue with the rule that only fully vaxed can go back to the hall then i could have stayed on zoom.
but the term fully vaxed is a moving target, if it’s been like six months since your last shot you are just the same as those of us who are unvaxed .

this is exactly what we should say when offered this experimental aborted baby containing drug, but then we are told you are not following directions from the GB
Probably a complete waste of Cntrl-V but oh well...."They contain aborted fetal cells:
This is a misconception that appeals strongly to people who are anti-abortion. Aborted fetal cells are not contained in any of the COVID-19 vaccines, although they were used to test the vaccine. The cell line used in testing was HEK-293, which was obtained from a fetus that happened to be aborted in the 1960-1970s.[65] Contrary to what anti-vaxxers may claim, the purpose of the abortion was not to obtain the HEK cells. It makes absolutely zero sense to reject the COVID-19 vaccine based solely on the fact it was tested on HEK-293 cells, as almost all modern medicines have been tested on it. It's nearly impossible to avoid using pharmaceutical products that have not been tested on HEK cells – if using medicines/vaccines tested on them is "unethical", you can say goodbye to modern medicine. In fact, it is estimated that the top 20 medications prescribed in the US have been tested on HEK cell lines" -

Yeah, movies too. The default, for me, is 'not good'.

Its all over now. Unless you can point to something of worth nowdays.
I can't because I dont know what your tastes are. One thing I do dislike about the current music scene is that it has returned to being singles dominated. I liked the LP format of putting something on and listening to the entire 60 minutes from start to finish. When done well it created a mood and you thought "well of course that song should logically follow this song. How else could it be?" Bands still do it but it's more of an afterthought. Why bother obsessing about track order when the tracks are just gonna be streamed randomly on Spotify or whatever.

An aspect of dealing with my elderly, PIMI, Father
by joe134cd infor a bit of back ground.
i’m a full blown pomo apostate.
nothing would please me more to see wt burn to the ground.

Have I sold myself out? I probably have. Or am i playing the game to win, with regards to caring for my dad.
Only you can decide that. However if your elderly father requires a caregiver and you're it, self preservation would probably prevent him from shunning you. Thats how it seems to me.
If you decided to leave the WT and be open about it, it doesn't mean you have to harangue your father to see the light in his final years. Perhaps you could find a balance. "I dont agree with the religion but we wont discuss it unless you ask."
