The "Ransom" doctrine makes no sense. Not the Witness interpretation nor mainstream Christianity's.
According to scripture he was dead for 3 days. So the "sacrifice" was giving up a long weekend. Then, if one is a trinitarian, it becomes even more nonsensical. He sacrificed himself to himself to save humanity from himself.
There may or may not have been some person in Palestine who preached the admirable things that Jesus was said to have said. But countless human beings throughout history have been tortured and executed, who didn't have the comfort of being an immortal deity. (assuming you believe that part of the story).

I've never seen a claim that "life is going to end". Life bounced back from the Chicxulub Asteroid. Eventually.
Life will carry on just fine. May cause serious misery for human beings, though.

One large volcano eruption produces more CO2 than the total of man's contribution.
While it's erupting it may match or exceed human output during the hours or days of the eruption. That does not mean it matches or exceeds human output over the entire year or century. That part always gets left out or possibly misunderstood when the volcano argument gets trotted out.

it clearly had no basis in law or the constitution, and was a flimsy, ridiculous ruling.

Chopping up just-delivered babies is simply sick and evil and anyone pushing for it should be investigated. Anyone who's done it for a non-medical reason should face the death penalty.
I dont disagree with this. But every government statistic i've found states that less than 1% of abortions take place after 21 weeks and usually for medical reasons. The idea that lots of women reach 9 months and suddenly change their mind stretches credulity to me. The idea that their are also plenty of immoral, monstrous physicians willing to do this upon request also stretches credulity. Has it ever been done unnecessarily? Probably. But I suspect "late term abortion" is mostly a bogeyman used to appeal to people's emotions.
To be clear, i'm not it any way stating its not a big deal simply because it's rare. But it has been used to push this idea that there is an epidemic of "chopping up full term babies".

This isn’t directed at anyone specifically. I put out there already I
don’t have a problem with abortion before viability. I am interested to
hear anyones views on why they do have a problem with that.
I'd be interested as well. If someone has an objection to 1st trimester abortion, then it seems that throws the morning after pill out the window as well. I imagine the argument would have to be some sort of "soul" is created at conception or Seabreeze's "lots of potential cute little babies" that he/she isn't responsible for.
