I think this PEW Poll is one we discussed here several months ago. Does anyone else remember that? A couple of new things I noticed with this:
• 52% of JWs in the US are minorities - something we've long thought. Most recent growth is among the Spanish speaking and immigrants.
• Part of the country with lowest % of JWs is New England. Yes! My work here is not in vain!
• Two-thirds of JWs make less than $50K a year, and 60% have only a high school education or less. See any co-relations there??

I've been through a few major paradigm shifts in my life!
This is not to be compared to WTS new light, which is never really shift in consciousness or worldview.
And, it probably is a an overused word for people who think outside the box, are on the cutting edge or who push the envelope. Did I miss any other overused phrases there!!??
We always remind the sales guy who's always talking about thinking outside the box that the box is there for a reason.

Here in the Northeast, we have 3x the forest we had 100 years ago.
In 1900, Vermont was about 25% forested and the rest was open land for sheep. Today Vermont is about 85% forested.

Is C.O. Layoff Self-Fulfilling?

's being laid off.
however, at some point such rumors may become a self-fulfilling prophecy.. we have already observed massive layoffs and attrition at bethel.

Well, the nonsense theme of this thread has been seriously - and very humorously – ripped to shreds.
The idiocy some people believe about foods never ceases to surprise me.
A few hundred thousand years of evolution where we were hunters and gathers has led to what DanielP wrote earlier: "But eating animal products along with plenty of vegetables, whole grains, legumes, fruits and other foods can make for the most balanced diet one can have."
Domesticating cattle and feeding them corn as the main staple of their diets is something we might not be so well prepared for by evolution, but essentially we are PERFECT for killing and eating wild animals. I love all sorts of food, but basically we are meant to eat like HUNTERS - wild meat.
As anyone who kills and prepares his own wild meat knows, most wild meat contains little if any fat.
Meat isn't what's killing us - it's what has kept our species alive for a million years!

I have had a few confirmations privately that something is up with eliminating at the least the current CO arrangement. Not sure to what extent, or how it might affect DOs.
But, have been PMed by people I trust who are still on the inside that COs have spoken of this to them privately. I have no details, just info I trust that something is afoot!
As I've written before, this is a plus for us, and possibly trouble for the WTS.
