  Funny News From My Old Congragation - Elder Fight!

  i haven't stopped laughing since i heard this.

  a pimo in my last congregation told me that an elder has been removed from his elder position.

  apparently he grabbed another elder by the throat, put him up against a wall in the back room and punched him in on the nose... during an elders meeting on thursday evening after the meeting.. the congregation were running round like headless chickens wondering what to do?

  we all have many reasons for leaving, most are doctrinal, some are emotional.

  it's a religion which obsesses over factual proofs (counterfactual though they are) of its veracity rather than faith, so it's inevitable that most who leave will do so for intellectual reasons.

  It was for me finding out about the brothers in Malawi who died for a political card issue while at the same time head office was allowing the brothers to purchase a conscription card in Mexico which stated they had done their military duties. And the deaths from blood factions and organ transplants which was later changed to conscience matter.

  They have as much blood on their hands as any clergy who they condemn.
