Beth sarim has a modern application its called Warwick , the only difference is that the prophets are already occupying the hall of shame. I can assure you there will be secret rooms for the elite just like the original in San Diego. It's ironic that Jws used to criticise church's for their opulence yet Jw clergy class live a cushy life free of worry about money. The ice cream money and the widows coins are all acceptable because god needs your first fruits. The catch cry for the next assembly should be the same as movie Jerry Maguire " show me the money "

In Saudi Arabia they have religious police in the watchtower they have elders and They both perform the same duties . Some of the only things these couples having common is the church and if one no longer believes in the church then sometimes there is zero in common . The whole subject of courting is similar to the birds the male birds of show offs and young males are no different .

Legalism versus Christianity
by Faith after Deception injesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else: “two men went to the temple to pray.
one was a pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector.
the pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘i thank you, god, that i am not like other people—cheaters, sinners, adulterers.

To test the theory of legalism with the society one has to imagine turning up to Bethel for a two tour in jeans and a T-shirt and seeing if you feel welcome and are shown all the headquarter rooms i imagine you might be told to go get proper clothing. The legalism is never end facial hair for men long pants for women hair styles I think they'd like to prevent us from ageing so we didn't look to do rough around the edges for their pictures

Can Someone Explain To Me, Are The Org In Debt Or Rich?
by pale.emperor inhi guys.. im aware of the orgs blatant hints to donate, donate, donate to the org, the sacking of bethel staff, selling of buildings, reducing mags and books, emphasis on digital rather than physical books etc which is obviously a money saver - but are the wt org in money difficulty?
because elsewhere on here and on youtube there's stories of the watchtower being mega rich, one even called it "a billion dollar organization".
and if there is any money in there, who's benefiting off it?

They can't be in debt because of the amount of money that keeps coming in all buildings are constructed with free labour the inheritances keep rolling in I just think they're just tightening up more money for the slush fund for the elite few. Not many organisations get free sales representatives plus free labour . To rephrase the original question could you imagine the organisation saying don't send more money because we have plenty ,they will always ask for more. The they will always ask for more money . The whole idea of debt is to borrow from someone and someone won't lend to anyone unless there is collateral the society is a flush with cash .

Just curious - is apostasy grounds for divorce?
by LifesNotOver ini know only adultery is supposed to be grounds for "scriptural" divorce.
i'm a wicked apostate in their eyes, but my believing husband and i still can't get a divorce that would allow him to remarry.
we currently are separated - i have left him.

My whole argument is if the first two presidents of the watchtower could not hold their marriages together how do they expect the little fellows to succeed

JW's Are All About Free Will Now
by pale.emperor infrom the january 2017 watchtower:.
first paragraph reads: when faced with making a personal choice, one woman told a friend: “do not make me think; just tell me what to do.
that is easier.” the woman preferred being told what to do instead of using a precious gift from her creator, the gift of free will.

Pale emporia, of my 27 years in the cult the rule not the exception was children of elders were chosen for the plum jobs, it was no different in Israel Solomon inherited a plum job, its all about connections. I seen it to many times.
