Doubtful1799
there are a lot of people on here like you which didn't like finding out TTATT, because it shattered their dreams, goals, relationships , All I can say is there is a lot of lost souls on this forum that need encouragement and support ,hang in there the journey will seem unforgiving. What friends you have or did have will disappear ,so find a hearing ear. Our forum friends will always listen and you will never be shunned here for your openness and honesty.

JWs and legalized Marijuana
by jws ini know this was probably covered before in some post, but i was curious.
what is the jw stance on recreational marijuana use in the states where it has been legalized?.
i would suspect smoking it, like cigarettes, would probably still be against the rules, but there are ways to use it that aren't damaging to your lungs.

The whole problem with government and church's they fail to understand that the human body has cannabinoid receptors that only the marijuana plant can activate or satisfy. Its health benefits out weigh any negative affects. when I was still going to meetings I was consuming marijuana edibles for a health problem ,which I fully cured my problem of going to toilet 3or4 times a night, this problem existed for years ,after one month fixed. Every human has the right to self medicate.

The black book has conquered wars ,chopped off heads, assisted suicides, and killed Muslim children, but as WT says is all about who's side God is on.

The 26 Prophetic Failures of Watchtower’s Most Heralded Date, 1914
by FatFreek 2005 inbelow is a paste of the front of this, my recent, essay.
most jws, and lurkers here, have never really thought of the scope of watchtower's 1914 prophecy.
to them, 1914 was a simple one and done -- a mistake was made and it's been corrected.

The whole problem with 1914 there is no one alive to go an ask about the flavour of ice cream back then. Psych wards are full of overlapping prophets from bethel. It's a shame Sportsbet wasn't around so do a 1914 wager.

Single Sisters Over A Certain Age Group Getting A Bad Rap
by HiddlesWife ini'm new here; one of my relatives was a member on this forum a few years ago and told me about it.
anyways, as a sister who has been in the org since childhood and now in her late 40's (plus as a woman of color), i have noticed that a number of brothers have an ageist attitude.
they are very accepting of young women under 26 and rejecting women over that age, particularly those in their 30's and over.. is this an unspoken mindset from wthq (specifically from bethel), or is it that quite a number of males (sorry, i'm not sexist here) have this type of mentality?

When elders are instructed that no sister in any circumstance touch and elders book, the you know that is their place in life, straight from GB.

In Your Opinion Do Today's Elders Recognize That The Religion Is BS?
by minimus ini always wondered that while i was in especially when i was an elder.
i recognize that some people, elders included are brain-dead.
but do you think that the average older today knows it's all nonsense?
-
Chook
No ,today's elders who stay in the job believe the bullshit , they teach it ,eat it ,drink it ,spread it and live it. There is the possibility that some might persist in the job for the glory reasons but eventually the hourly demands of head office don't justify the perceived respect from the lower ranks. So the ones who realise its BS eventually walk.

This site should be called Anti-Jehovahs-Witnesses Cry-babies
by the-Question inso, you left because of a bad example(s).. why all the whining?
nothing better to do with your time?.
you at least know far more about the bible than any church-goer?.
-
Chook
Fuck you ,this religion has deceived, lied ,caused suicides , broken marriages, took people money. These people aren't cry babies, they are sick and broken due to satanic shunning practices. Our friends on here need this site for therapy, so piss off with negative comments,we have had a life of boogie man stories and some on here would have literally killed themselves without the support on this forum , so again piss off with negativity.

Through legalism, has the WTBT$ and their followers lost their moral compass?
by LarryCope inin december, i lunched with someone who was at one time quite close and is still a jw.
the topic of the arc ( australian royal commission ) and pedophilia came up.
the two things that was immediately voiced by this person was the two witness rule and that it was homosexuals molesting witness boys parroting the plastic faced stephen lett.this person is not online and has not seen the arc videos or know anything about the silent lambs movement.

The problem with WT compass is the magnetic field in Tony Morris head.

Another Burnt Out Elder
by Spoletta inyoung elder(mid-thirties) in my congregation stepped down last night.
nicest guy, with two lovely kids, a great supportive wife.. it got to be too much, as the other elders are practically useless, let him do all the hard work, while they did all the "important" stuff.
literally ran him ragged.. he's still in good standing, gave the final prayer.

A burnt out elder is better than an elder doing the burning. The more elders that resign it becomes a blessing for the flock as one less policeman , but the problem lies in that the tyrants end up being the only ones left. Burn sheep burn.
