I once looked up the seasonal record of our local soccer team and half the games ended in a tie. Can’t watch such a boring game knowing half will end in a tie also doesn’t help.
America football has so many more elements in the game then soccer. Baseball is also another sport hard to watch on tv and basketball isn’t the game it used to be.

I absolutely do not believe their number. I’m about 50 years old, when I was a teenager over 70% of the other teenagers left. I have a sister that’s 15 years younger then me. When she was a teenager again 70% or more of her peers left.
There’s also a high percentage of young jws that after they get married also fade away from the troof. Now take also into consideration all the ones waking up, adults that are leaving, adults that aren’t waking up but just leaving for other reasons. Now add to that those dfd and DAd and there’s no way they have 8 million.

I think it’s more about closing congregations to avoid or make it harder for lawsuits attorneys to find documents and because so many have left over the years.

I don’t think they have backed off from this teaching but have just stopped talking about it. I have noticed over the years that WT has stopped talking about anything that can easily be proven wrong my kids don’t know the Bible says there was a dome over the earth, they don’t know about the subject of this thread. They have never been taught how long a ago Adam and Eve were created. When the flood happened etc.
it’s easy to keep people in if your vague about your teachings concerning the Bible.
the last couple years i have been really getting into watching these videos called the bible protect.
there is no real dogmatic axe to grind.
just simple 10 -15 min videos on the individual books of the bible and kind of how it’s all connected together.

I think I have a tremendous amount of knowledge now about how the Christian concept and ideas came about over time in the New Testament I have also studied individual books and when some of the individual writings and stories came from. I see the Bible as more a collection of individual books not always being about the same god or even people, thrown together then edited to get what we have today.

So there you have it, 15 million years ago a flea sucked some holy sacred blood from a rat and got some bubonic plague. But the Bible says no animal before the flood ate flesh no blood and god forbid (no pun intended) was their any disease before Adam sinned.

I don’t see a connection? I sincerely believe both groups are lying and the jws probably even more so then the Mormons. All cults lie about their numbers! The jws right now are telling their followers about all their growth yet are sell off Kingdom Halls.
