my brother has been talking about the earth being flat and some big conspiracy going on to make people beieve otherwise.
what are people's thoughts on this?.
Flat earth equals flat head. Handy. A place to put ya beer when you put it down. Say, hey bro, come over here and kneel down.
Then while he is kneeling down with your beer on his head ask him about why he believes in a flat earth while you roll a cigarette.
earlier this week a new post on this forum announced that the 2017 worldwide annual service report was available on jw.org.
wow - that's earlier than the statistics for the 2016 service year which appeared in the 2017 yearbook last january!

Trust the gov body for the truth with stats. They do not tell the truth period. Bodgee stats to keep the masses fooled. To keep their power longer.
i am absolutely dumbstruck and lost for words.
one of the elders who criticised me over my use of social media rang me up to ask how i was doing.
after the usual blah-blah-blah i asked him if he had attended the recent elders one day school.
If they could, some elders would be in your bedroom to see if you are doing it in the missionary position. Some might even want video for proof to be shown at the elders meeting.
i have noted that the irritable part of me got the better of me when posting about j f rutherford.
i acknowledge that a few on here have pointed out flaws in my reasoning and the way i reason.

i'm sure many of you are aware of the jwtalk site, a message board which has yet to succumb to apostasy (give it time).. some of the forums there are visible to the public, and i've seen some crazy stuff.

some posters have even said that if a wave of kindness washed over jw organization and, say, the shunning doctrine was modified (e.g., left up to the individual's conscience without fear of retribution from elders), they'd go back.
