i think i get that this meeting on october 6 was by invitation only.

if i asked a jw to research who the f&ds was, i'm assuming that they'd tell me it is the annointed and maybe even provide me with wt literature from that cd explaining this.

...or would they already know about the change?

How does one feel when they can't answer?

i'm dating a jw.

i have asked him several questions that would be categorized as "thinking" questions and i knew he'd have a tough time finding answers.

whenever i wouldn't get an answer to 3-5, i was moving on to the next 3-5. over a year's time, just about all have gone unanswered... just dropped... non-existent at this point.

i've seen the insulting obituary and like all of you, i'm blown away.. i've also seen several threads of individuals crying out for an opportunity to meet with others on this board.

maybe it's time to recognize the need for an assembly (if you will) to foster a familial relationship for those on this board!.

what if a memorial were planned, in eric's honor of course, for a weekend next september in north carolina?

NeverKnew - Biography?

i'm seeing quite a few posters requesting that new people post their biographies.

i'm almost embarrassed to do this for two reasons.

1. i may be perceived as just another bleeding heart who would have absolutely no clue as to how one feels about leaving or being torn from the society.. 2. i have concerns about the 10+ jws who have infiltrated numerous aspects of my life (work/personal friends/friends of friends) being lurkers and recognizing my "biographical profile.

i've been noticing posts that speak of feelings that only others that have been there could possibly understand.

some of the voices belong to imprisoned circumstantially trapped and other voices, the ones that seem to feel the deepest emotional despair, are the ones suffering the cruelest form of human punishment in being cut from a network of family and life-long friends.

the more i read, the more i realize the blessings i've taken for granted.

when i patched in, i heard a voice... guess it was a person called an elder... who was celebrating a court case from ... did he say 1946????

Exposing a JW to the definition of cults - good idea?

first, i am not a jw and never was.

i ran into an old friend who had been "baptized" who "encouraged" me to consider looking into the faith he had become a part of (born-in).

i figured, "hey... maybe i'll learn something i've never known.
