Could we use the new shunning guidelines to our advantage?

according to new, officially published guidelines, jws can now shun a person who has not been disfellowshipped from the congregation.

i see this guideline being abused by many jws who have an axe to grind with a fellow jw.

for example, let's say sister peinindiass rubs sister sensitive the wrong way.

Jehovah’s justice benefits us
Jehovah’s law given to Moses protected God’s people physically and spiritually from bad or evil influences.
The Israelites’ loyalty was put to the test by some of these laws (Dt 13:1 -11)

Since the first century Jehovah has commanded us not to seek friendship or fellowship from unrepentant ones [Read 1 Cor 5:11 -13]
Disfellowshipping is a beneficial measure even though some from this permissive world consider it an excessive/cruel/radical (W15 4/15 29-31) *** (no scripture reference here! ) ***

It helps keep Jehovah’s and his organization’s name clean. It protects us from bad associations, which includes messages from apostates or other opposers that are used to spread harmful ideas. (2Jn, 10, 11)
Disfellowshipping can help a sinner to return to Jehovah.

Loyal Christians should not associate with anyone “called a brother” and yet practices grave sin.
We have to do so even with unrepentant ones that have not been dealt by the congregation, like in the case of inactive ones.
It can be an especially tough test of our loyalty when the unrepentant sinner is a family member. We shouldn’t allow family ties to threaten our loyalty to Jehovah and his organization (w13, 1/15 15, 16 Paragraphs 16 – 20).

Let’s not let Jehovah’s discipline lose it power or effectiveness.
But,what should we do if a sinner repents and changes his ways?

Elders harassing me

hi everyone, it has been a while since i've last updated!

(refer to my previous posts for the full story) here is a quick re-cap: 2 months ago my mother found out that i am living with my boyfriend, she told me i was discovered by an "anonymous" tipper who turned me in for "living in sin".. first of all, that is nearly impossible, the congregation i was in is 100's of miles away from where i currently live.. no one would have ever known i was living with my boyfriend unless i told them, which i never did, i cut off all communication with that congregation in part of my attempted fade which was blown into pieces and discovered.. anyways, my mom tells me if i don't go to the elders and confess like a good little sheep, then she is obligated to tell them.. ( don't see why, i don't even live under her roof ) well i never went to them because why should i?

so they met with my mother and she told them i live with my boyfriend... let me remind you, this was two months ago.. i was told i was going to be df'd and that was that.

Gone for Good - I looked up the Shepherding the Flock book... Interesting and complete garbage. pg. 73 states: " In deciding whether to form a judicial committee or not, the body of elders should consider the following:

- Does he still profess to be a Witness?

- Is he generally recognized as a Witness in the congregation or the community?

- Does his conduct continue to affect any other person, such as in some cases of adultery or child abuse?

- Does the person have a measure of contact or association with the congregation or association with the congregation so that a leavening, or corrupting, influence exists?

- Is the person willing to meet with a committee thus admitting accountability to the Christian congregation? "

As far as the bullet points, my answers are no, no, no, no, and no.. I no longer profess to be a Witness, I am not recognized as a witness in the congregation or the community ( inactivity ) I'm not affecting another person abusively. I don't have ANY measure of contact with the congregation. And I'm obviously not willing to meet with a committee admitting accountability to the whole congregation. None of their business.

For #42. Pretty sure only my mother, stepfather, brother and grandmother know, they are the only "family" in the org..

This is just ridiculous.- As for the letter stating to specifically meet with me on August 1st. When I get home I will dig it out of the garbage and take a picture.

Let me remind you, this was TWO months ago.. I was told I was going to be DF'd and that was that. Now as of this month I have been receiving NUMEROUS phone calls from the elders, multiple calls and voice messages a day. All of which I ignore.. I then blocked the phone number... Now the only person that knows my address is my mother because I gave it to her so that she could forward me my mail.. Guess what appears in the mail on Monday? A letter from the elders that were phone harassing me... The letter basically said " We would like to discuss with you further about your current living situation, so that we can help you regain your love for Jehovah" Blah blah blah "Please meet with us for a judicial committee on August 1st" it was signed by all 3 elders.. - Ha ha no... I threw it away. What should I do? Keep ignoring their letters and calls..? I am moving to a new home next month and I won't be telling my mother my new address.. I feel like I am being emotionally blackmailed when all I wish to do is be left alone.. I have never been happier since out of the org and it has almost been 6 months! How do I get them to leave me be? I hate this organization and all that it is, no one knows I'm an apostate at this point but I'm sure that will also be discovered by another "anonymous tipper" Words cannot even explain how fed up I am by the org, and the elders. Not to mention all of the lies I've woken up to.. Sigh- can someone give me some words of encouragement right now? Any similar situations?

The symposium talk is literally called "Shun unrepentant wrongdoers" ... Seriously? Blows my mind really, because on the other hand, if you type in disfellowshipping and or shunning into the JW.org site, it says we don't shun, but now there is a talk that point blank says shun? Emotional blackmail at its finest.. This one hit home for me as I will be announced as disfellowshipped here soon.

I'm getting disfellowshipped

hi everyone, a bit of an update here on my continuing disaster of a situation.. (refer to my previous posts for the full story) my mom met with me yesterday for dinner, it was nice.. however, she brought up the fact that because i live with my boyfriend and how everything has gone down, i will be disfellowshipped.. i think the elders basically have enough proof of this.. due to the anonymous tipper (still have no clue who it was, i live in another town 100's of miles away from my old congregation territory), and my mom telling them.

i'm not sure when they will announce it, or if they will contact me prior.. at this point i feel so emotionally dead i don't care- on the other hand, i don't want to be disfellowshipped because i do not want to loose a relationship with my mom.

Those of you who are Df'd, how does your family treat you? Did your parent(s) ever come around to speaking with you again? I just long to have a good relationship with my mom, but I know in my heart that I do not want to go back to the org.. So that means forever being disfellowshipped. And if that's the case, my life isn't even worth living if I'm being shunned and casted out. My life is so dark and sad right now, its honestly pitiful.
