Hey fanatics of college basketball! It's that time of year again. A "for real" national championship unlike the farce that is college football. The best teams in the land settle it on the court-what a concept!! Twelve of my teams out of the remaining 16 are still in the hunt in the big money pool. I have Syracuse coming out of the East, UConn from the South, Notre Dame in the West, and my boyz from Pitt from the Midwest for an All Big East Final Four. Hey I'm a fan-no apologies. What say you??

For the children-US, Brit, Aussie,Iraqi
by Seven inmy heart goes out to every child who has a parent fighting in this war, be they american, british, aussie or iraqi- especially the ones too young to realize exactly where dad or mom is at.
they just know that everyone is so upset and the news is talking about and showing pictures of soldiers who were killed or were captured that are dressed just like dad or mom was the last time they saw them.
i can picture a little one toddling over to the tv touching the screen and saying, "daddy.

I hope for their safe return
I know many say it is none of our business but I am still glad we are making it our business.
I hope for a peaceful resolution soon
Across the field you see the sky ripped open
See the rain through a gaping wound
Pounding on the women and children
Who run
Into the arms

Where did you go on your last vacation? Key West, Florida
Where is the most Exotic place you have visited?
Cairo, EgyptWhat place would you recommend to a single person?
Cancun, Munich for OktoberfestWhat place would you recommend to a married couple?
Any place that the music is loud enough to drown out their arguing. Jamaica would work. What place would you recommend to a family with children?
See above.Have any of you experience strange or unusual events during your travels?
Too many to mention. All unbelievable so why bother. :)Where is the next place you are going to go to (vacation)? Places to hit before I die-Tibet, Russia, and Hong Kong. Will go to Sweden, Ireland and back the Keys first.

Si,
I knew Cat had converted to Islam. It matters not to me if an artist worships the great gazoo. I liked the lyrics. His Oh Very Young and Wild World were in my first guitar book. There will aways be music.

They just know that everyone is so upset and the news is talking about and showing pictures of soldiers who were killed or were captured that are dressed just like Dad or Mom was the last time they saw them. I can picture a little one toddling over to the TV touching the screen and saying, "Daddy." Let's not forget about the Iraqi Moms who have no SpongeBob SquarePants to distract her kids. She's too busy trying to figure out where's the best place to hide away from the fire from above. I hope many of them evacuated before the bombing started. I can't imagine dragging a handful of kids across a city with a babe in arms and whatever essential belongings needed.
I find it quite absurd now for me to argue the pros and cons of this war. The past has been forgotten just like this will be forgotten. The horses are already out of the barn. The worst is yet to come and there's not one thing I can do about it. This war is no worse than any other fought in my lifetime except we've got webcams 24/7. Everyone is on edge and I'm sure everyone wants this to come to an end. I've got three close buddies over there and I'm just too emotional to be objective. No more war threads for me.

There will always be music.
For {{{{the kids}}}}:
Oh, Very Young
Cat Stevens
Oh Very Young, what will you leave us this time
You're only dancin' on this earth for a short while
And though your dreams may toss and turn you now
They will vanish away like your dads best jeans
Denim blue, faded up to the sky
And though you want them to last forever
You know they never will
(You know they never will)
And the patches make the goodbye harder still.
Oh Very Young what will you leave us this time
There'll never be a better chance to change your mind
And if you want this world to see a better day
Will you carry the words of love with you
Will you ride the great white bird into heaven
And though you want to last forever
You know you never will
(You know you never will)
And the goodbye makes the journey harder still.
Will you carry the words of love with you
Will you ride, oh,oooooooooooooh
Oh Very Young, what will you leave us this time
You're only dancin' on this earth for a short while
Oh Very Young, what will you leave us this timeTo the little ones who can't find sleep tonight-the most beautiful lullabye ever written: CONNEMARA CRADLE SONG
On the wings of the wind o'er the dark rolling deep
Angels are coming to watch o'er thy sleep
Angels are coming to watch over thee
So list to the wind coming over the seaChorus:
Hear the wind blow love, hear the wind blow
Lean your head over and hear the wind blowOh, winds of the night, may your fury be crossed,
May no one who's dear to our island be lost
Blow the winds gently, calm be the foam
Shine the light brightly and guide them back homeChorus
The currachs are sailing way out on the blue
Laden with herring of silvery hue
Silver the herring and silver the sea
And soon there'll be silver for baby and meChorus
The currachs tomorrow will stand on the shore
And daddy goes sailing, a sailing no more
The nets will be drying, the nets heaven blessed
And safe in my arms dear, contented he'll restedited to add those from Oz, sorry about that.

Hey Zep,
I haven't had much to say for the past two years. I've been here for going on three just watching life pass me by. The place is a metropolis now. The players come and go. I remember being fearful of posting a link to HR Giger's biomechanoids because it might offend somebody. LOL Not many of the originals left. Waiting can still be found roaming the halls at night.
cheers,

Hey E-man,
From Field to table: After the kill, a moment of silence in appreciation of this most magnificant tasting bird. Then I just cut him in the middle of his chest, a little bit beneath the skin. Remove the head, wings and legs. Cut from the end of the breast bone to it's booty. Just like pulling off a sweater everthing comes off. Gut 'em and rinse him out. Run to the kitchen. Throw some leeks and garlic in the cavity and rub him down with sunflower oil. :) Wrap in foil-roaster-oven-table in about 45 minutes depending on how far from the house I have to walk.
