it's not a secret that during the last two years watchtower obtained nearly 40 dmca subpoenas requiring google, facebook, instagram, twitter, soundcloud, scribd, reddit and other isps to provide personal information of users that allegedly infringed the society's copyright.. since subpoena proceeding is ex parte, almost all the requests were granted.. but one of the affected users contacted, on advice of youtube's legal team, the electronic frontier foundation (eff), and the foundation found a law firm ready to represent him pro bono, namely garvey schubert barer:.

youtube's legal department emailed the user on or about july 10, 2018, five days before the subpoena's return date, stating that it would comply with the subpoena unless it received a file-stamped motion to quash "or other type of formal objection before july 20, 2018.

this is one of the saddest places a person can ever be in for sure.

this is were the person is no longer in the organization physically, for whatever reason.

they haven't attended meetings in years.

Brainwashing is a powerful thing. You may do research on the internet, you may intellectually know all of the ugly truths (false prophecies, new and old light, flip flops, pedo paradise, overlapping BS, their ARC lies etc - the list is lengthy) but completely ridding yourself of the damage done to your prefrontal cortex, is a difficult thing for some folks.

I have been out for over 40 years, but some of the crap still remains despite efforts to purge it and replace it with the truth about what they teach.

Trashy Watchtower Corporation Carts In Public Places, Can Cities Ban them?

they have a very big child abuse enabler international reputation in the courts can these things be a reason for banning these stupid ass carts that claims to have all the answers to mans hardest questions.. why should every library have to permit them to plant their lame ass carts close to the entrance.. i'm thinking that soon due to all the bad publicity surrounding the jehovah witness cult leaders that cart witnessing will come to be seen as a very big waste of time by all it's members that have become hall less thus missing a shit load of meeting and a beginning to start thinking for themselves.. i'm sure many jws hate this type of work even now, even though it's an easy way to get your time in and not be labeled inactive or keep the elders off your back.

have you noticed that a lot of carts don't have a jw near by?

i never see anybody at the carts where i live, i've even asked people nearby and nobody knew who put the cart there.

Is Russia "right" about presecuting Jehovah's Witnesses?

jehovah's witnesses are presecuted in russia.

on par with the is and other terroristic groups.

it happened when the anti-extremism laws were extended to non-violent groups.. i don't believe that russia actually cares for the well-being of their citizens with this move and probably merely a law to stop other political forces (and the jws are one in a way, since their gather authority over large groups of people and also have their own political and judicial institutiona), but are they right about it anyway?.

Since when does a slave appoint itself over anything???

at matthew 24:45, where jesus discussed the faithful and discreet slave, he gave only two identifying features of that slave.

(1) providing the master’s domestics food at the proper time; and, (2) after having done so, being appointed by the master himself over all the master’s belongings.. since current watchtower teaching is that the appointment over all the master’s belongings is yet future and that such appointment is to be made by the master himself, how does the governing body of jehovah’s witnesses account for the fact that it has preemptively identified itself as that faithful and discreet slave?.

surely there remains among believing jws some who can discern the problem with this teaching!

Discerning that would require thinking...and that is not something most of them do. They are fed the 'food' the GB wants them to eat and they do not spend time thinking about what they are eating. The GB would have the RF believe that they did not appoint themselves, the master did so, discretely and in advance of the official appointment so as to look out for their spiritual well being.

v close family me ever still in but we have moved to different parts of the country so little interaction on a day to day basis but this family member i love a lot.

Tell your partner why you wont do it and then carry on. It is difficult for those who were not part of the cult to understand why there is no point in telling anyone about your orientation. Why hurt yourself and your family member?

i ran across it when watching lloyd evans videos and searching out jw links.

i left the cult many years ago after a long stint in it.the cult caused me much pain and problems even though i left.

ota—the advancement of pidgin english received a boost recently at ota, ogun state at the nigerian pigdin convention series of jehovah’s witnesses which held from december 20 to 23, 2018.. this was the seventeenth in the series of the 2018 “be courageous!” regional convention of jehovah’s witnesses .

recently there are clear indications that jehovah’s witnesses are seriously using pidgin as tool to reach the heart and they have risen beyond the general stereotypical description of it as ‘pidgin english’ or ‘broken english.
