What kind of people remain members and will serve the WTS to the end?

by RULES & REGULATIONS in

my family have been members of the wts since the 1980's.

they never went to college,don't read any books besides watchtower material,have no hobbies,don't have any friends besides witness "friends",worked manual labor jobs all their lives,never questioned anything the wts changes,and have never looked into any other teachings besides the wts propaganda.

{ in other words: they are closed minded and not very inquisitive}.

Fight or Flight - How Do You Know?

on principle [or obstinancy], we are determined to stand our ground and fight for what we believe in.

on other occasions, we conclude that ours is a lost cause and that we need to take our leave of certain people and issues.. there's rarely a simple, cut-and-dry approach, but i am interested in how you've dealt with the opposites of flght and flight in your struggles.

Pride: it's good for parades but not in trenches, makes you do stupid things and is a powerful blinder.
I could go on at length how 'fight/flight/not thinking,' when coupled with a pride masquerading as my personal, righteous cause, has created undue conflict for myself and others. Little did I grasp that the quest upon which I had embarked was one of establishing my own righteousness rather than that of God.

Little did I as well coco.

At first, It {TheQuest} was beyond my control. The pain was absolutely excruciating to live with, yet somehow I got through those times.

I then felt a great since of obligation and duty to shout out all that I was learning {FROM SITES LIKE THIS AND H20}, to the world, and thensome.

I'll admit, upon all that I was discovering, uncovering and studying, rage started to consume me. Elements of revenge crept in and I acted on them. I will not state what these were. Suffice it to say, for me, these elements are not a way to succeed in my 'work' today.

Gods Righteousness rather than my own? That's a tough concept. I could go on at length trying to explain how ridiculous it really sounds though. Perhaps I may still.

Fight or flight? PAY ATTENTION TED JARACZ:

For me, both. Simple.

It is what I am willing to let go of that will instill how effective the fight WILL continue to Be.

Coco, I love any of your posts. You are profound and precise in your observations of how deadly insane this organization absolutely is. Same with carla.

thanksgiving day recipes

i love to cook, so, i'm really looking forward to thanksgiving.

since katrina, i have some friends that don't have family here anymore or people from out of state that also don't have families here to share it with.

i will be cooking and would love to share recipes with others.

Have You Divorced And/Or Remarried- What Did You Learn From It ?

in seeing a lot of posters threads , i feel i see many people who have been divorced at one time , and either have remarried or have stayed single .

i totally understand those who choose to stay single, as i was single for 6 years before i got married again !

as experts say, next to death it's one of the hardest experiences you'll go through !

Hmmm, not sure how my mom would answer that. Most likely, fabricated.

I mean, what does one learn from divorcing her childrens father then years later marrying a man who disfellowships all of her children?

The better question would be, how does a woman do this and still breath the same air as her children still do, willingly and absolutely?

Like I said, hmmmm.

Shame has become more of the emotion I feel toward her of late. She's truly pitiful.
