  Looking for Mike Miranda from Central Valley, CA

  i'm looking for a long lost friend i can't forget.

  his name is mike miranda.

  we attended pioneer school together in 1991. we had an instant connection but i was immediately engaged & married so our friendship was never allowed to flourish.. he was to attend my wedding in june 1992 but never showed.

  I wish my dad was like Bill Bowen!!!

  one of my very best friends, who i also consider a sister, left the org about a year after me.

  she is actually closer to my parents age (she's 40) but our families always did things together while we were all jw's and now that her and i are not we're even closer.. after she left the org she told me about the molestation she and her younger sister suffered at the hands of their father.

  at the time he was not a jw as was their mother.

  Michael Jackson still a JW!

  last night on one of the entertainment magazines shows they said that michael jackson just gave an interview to tv guide.

  in it he says he is still a jw and still goes door to door in disguise.

  i had heard a rumour recently that he still donated a lot of money to the society but had no clue he still claimed to be one.

  life as a jw is very...well...sheltered.

  many experiences are outright condemned.

  still, when others don't have specific rules against them, we more often than not, at least i did, choose not to engage in them so as not to stumble someone who would not approve.. very soon after my exodus from the wt i decided that life is an adventure.

  Meet the Parents!

  well, i went to see my parents last night.

  it was the first i had seen or spoken to my mother in over 8 months.

  i also was able to see my nephew who is almost 2 and whom i haven't see in exactly a year.

  my name is shauna and this is my first post here.

  in short, i am 26 years old and have been df'd for a little over 2 years.

  i come from a strong and long jw heritage (6 generations).
