lately that’s all i’ve been hearing about!

i’m sick and tired of listening to white people begging for forgiveness simply because they are white.

This sounds like one of those JW's Andre story.

Now kids will grow up feeling guilty that they are white and experiencing white privilege. Maybe they also will feel emboldened to destroy neighborhoods and disregard law and order.

Very true even if a little bit of a hyperbole. Times are indeed changing but not always for the best and neither is it always for the worst.

JWs will say that the world is getting worse and that is a sign of the last days but others in this forum have shown that there are a lot of things that are actually getting better.

i think blm is a racist group.

if white people pushed an agenda saying white lives matter, some people would have a conniption..

Now, BLM has been around for 7 years, so what exactly has been done in this space?

In 1492, the first blacks slave arrived on American shores

in 1865, slavery was officially ended.

It took about 372 years for that change to take effect and another 99 years for the Civil Rights act to be signed.

Change takes time.

Patriarchal meaning

"relating to or characteristic of a system of society or government controlled by men."

Within the context of the statement and the title of that section "black villages", the statement seems to suggest that they want to deal with the issues/practice of absent "men/fathers" that pushes black women to work "double shifts" in order to care of their children.

What is wrong with that?

How about we allow each person on this thread to speak clearly and address the points as they see them without any of us assigning emotion to them.

Humans are emotional creatures.

mixing women and men and wondering why women get pregnant on the front line and letting in trannys and others who should not be in the military now the bend over to terrorist groups like blm and others.

if we ever have to go toe to toe with the big boys of the world that do not puss out we may very well get our asses kicked.

BTW, what you are afraid might not even come in your life time.

One of the many things that history taught us is, "You can never stay in power forever" no matter how hard you try. The might Roman Empire, "Rule, Britannia Rule the Waves", The Ottoman Empire, etc.

new situation in world helpful to org?

sometimes new situations can provide cover for one’s mistakes or intentions.

for example, suppose that i crack the windshield in my dad’s car one night.

i go home, park the car in its usual spot in the yard, and go to bed without telling my dad because i’m scared and i’m trying to think of a way out of the situation.

You make a valid point of the JWs moving into an e-religion. I actually see it more of a hybrid move. They sell a bunch of halls and move mid week meetings online. Totally online will be difficult to pull off in the immediate future as they will have to wait for poorer countries to catch up with internet infrastructure.

Given the rapid fire changes in recent years, there is no doubt there have been resistance to change even at the very top level of power. The reduction in magazines means someone is losing power and the head of the audiovisual department is gaining power, like the new kid on the block. Corvid19 could just be the trigger that some have been waiting for to push ahead with the changes.

Once the effect of Corvid19 dies down, those at the helm would also see that there is excess baggage at bethel and more heads will roll. This is similar to what corporations are beginning to realize that they can continue to do business with less office building by using tools like zoom.

No matter what the change, you still have to follow the money.

In the old days, as my father told me, when you went to the outhouse with pages of a Sears catalog to clean your butt and walked to school in waist-deep snow without shoes, it made you tough.

It doesn't make you tough, it just makes you wish you have warm boots for your feet and soft toilet paper for your bum. If your father had the luxury of warm boots for his fit, do you think he would have chosen to go without shoes in waist-deep snow? Context matters.

The US still has the most powerful military in the world by far with or without women within its ranks.

Why the paranoia, there is no country in the world today that will want to go "toe to toe" with the US because everyone is aware of their superior fire power. If you are an American you should already know that. There is a reason why the US has been fighting proxy wars since the WWII.

Just because you are not aware of everything your military is doing doesn't mean they are pandering. The current US administration pulled it troops from Syria and military families were happy to have their son's back home. Are you not happy with that or is that also pandering?

You really don't want your military involved in breaking up groups like the "BLM and others", it will no end as you expect.

The world is a different place from the days of the cold war and the US military will have to adapt its role to comply with US external diplomacy.

That type of localization by the JWs actually makes sense. In France some Americans series are dubbed into French as subtitles will not cut it. Bill Cosby with a French accent, LOL, I know bad example but it was a popular series.
