...You just can't assemble this monstrous cult by pure chance.
I agree with Wake Me's post. This so called 'Governing Body' are masters at deception. They and their cronies know exactly what they are doing.
in my psychology studies we've been examining the use of "labels" and how they influence peoples behaviour.
i sometimes wonder if the gb or their helpers know exactly what they're doing when it comes to psychological manipulation.. it's been observed that by labeling someone or something it changes your entire perception of that person or thing.
it colours it entirely, quite unfairly in some cases.

i haven’t posted for quite a while as i needed a break – although i have been lurking.. can anyone confirm if the wtbts give assistance to someone who has been involved in an incident whilst working at bethel and, as a result, must leave?.
the reason i’m asking is that, back in the 80’s, i knew a sister who was in bethel service.
she was assigned to the cleaning department.
Thank you all for responding to my post and for the links to the other discussion threads covering this topic.
Much appreciated.

The reason I’m asking is that, back in the 80’s, I knew a sister who was in bethel service. She was assigned to the cleaning department. Because of working with cleaning chemicals, she contracted a severe form of eczema. She left bethel service because of this. It was so bad and painful that she literally couldn’t wear certain clothing and, at night, could only sleep with a sheet to cover her.
I stand under correction, and to my knowledge, the WTBTS offered no after care assistance to her once she left bethel service.
Is this the WTBTS policy? If someone is required to leave bethel service due to injury following an incident at work that they are on their own with regard to medical care and expenses incurred?
greetings, friends across the two ponds:.
of course, as per other posters' recommendations, i could google this; i have and remain, not totally confused, but wanting the straight dope as well as nuanced meaning.
i'm both curious and needing to know for purposes of editing works of american and british writers.

Hi Natasha
Welcome to the forum. This forum is for those who have been affected one way or the other by the Org. As has been mentioned, some users have left and others are in the process of leaving. There is a wealth of information, so take your time in reading the discussions and use whatever advice that will help you on your journey.
is your retreat .
an actual location, or simply a quiet place in your mind?.
i attended a concert on sunday, a featured piece having been commissioned by a composer who lives in the city but retreats to an island in the puget sound (usa) to write his music.
I don't have a place to go to however, playing my guitar and making / listening to music is my way of 'getting away' from it all.
hahaha, i’m so “brazen”, lol.
but we’ve had the jws be pretty active in our territory recently, and i got to say this to them on two separate occasions, to three different borgites, lol!
(it was a glorious moment for me, haha!).
Great post Muddy waters - will definitely use this description.
something just dawned on me today as i processed my assimilation into the real world (thanks to our new poster, @jester, giving me a major throwback to my first post).. when you're a jehovah's witness, you really are in some sort of la la land.
things which are perfectly normal are acts of eating from the table of the demons.
things which are horribly grotesque and extremely unjust are branded as "righteousness".
Great post JoHo - I too never thought of it from that angle. As each day passes we learn great things from this forum. Although I have been inactive / faded for nearly 4 years I would not describe myself as fully 'awake' because as this topic highlights, I have learnt something new. So I will describe my journey as a gradual awakening.
PE also gave some great information on using different words to JW standard vocabulary. Thanks PE, will definitely use your ideas going forward.
... because she'd stepped into some newly laid concrete.. i said to her, "don't be too hard on yourself.

Oh shit, now we're well and truly stuck

both are alone in car as the only 2 out in field service.

The Americans and the Brits are separated by a common language ... lol.
